Do yourself a favor and check out Weldwerks- Mexican Achromatic is absolutely fantastic and based on my brief convo with Neil, a stand up guy. Well done Neil, congrats on your success! Too bad Juicy Bits couldn't make the trip!

First reviews of Prop 2016 aren't looking the best. Anyone who had it tonight care to share their thoughts?

Honestly I thought it was gross. A smokey mess.

Still worth the price tag to purchase on Black Friday? Just like everybody debated about the price tag on Rare last year.

To each his own so hard to say, but for me, not worth it. I really just didn't enjoy it at all. For reference, I thought both 16 regular and coffee were fantastic. I didn't get the chance to try the barleywine.

Nothing can go wrong with the coffee variant. I guess pasteurized BCBS turned out to be good, huh?

I wouldn't have known any different so yes, would have to say it turned out fine!

Definitely stopping by to have some BAMA and and the sour too. Have been fortunate enough to have tried a couple of your beers including the coconut Medianoche which was amazing too. Cheers!!

It tasted very similar to last year. Way too sweet, and way too spicy at the same time.

    It's kind of awful.

Not sure why such talented brewers are unable to figure out how to do this.

A one time miss was excusable. Twice in a row though?

Also, no idea why Goose went back to the one booth set-up.

    Last year worked so perfectly.

But this year, it was an awful set-up with 2 ok beers you could get on the floor at any time, and 2 BCS variants.

I was pouring AR for the Friday night session... Imbibe group put a HUGE dent in this even before doors opened for general admission. I'd say 2/3 of it was gone by 6:00, rest by 6:30.

I randomly spoke to you and at the time I had no clue who you were. To say your brewery is on my short list to get to know more now is and understatement. The Peach Climacteric was hands down best in show for me. The nose on that was incredible and had me quoting Nick Cage - Faceoff lines the remainder of the evening. Congrats on your soon to be win today.

Your peach climacteric was easily top 3 beer of the night overall for me. Keep on making great beer! Hope to run into you tonight I'll be volunteering.

Thanks for the great feedback and the kind words. I was really excited to bring Peach Climacteric to the fest because we haven't even released it at the brewery yet so it is making its debut here in Chicago this weekend. It's also the first official release from our barrel-aged sour program, a project which has been 20 months in the making. Peach Climacteric is a blend of about 4 different barrel-aged sours, ranging in age from 4-16 months and then aged on over 4 lbs per gallon of fresh Colorado Palisade peaches. We were patiently waiting for enough stock to blend with for our sour program so it's very encouraging to hear that it has been well received so far. Hope to meet more of you at today's sessions (look for the 6'6" guy wearing a WeldWerks shirt).

I'm glad you shared with us Chicagoans first. Will you be releasing this in bottles and if so, do you know when?

We are tentatively planning a bottle release in the taproom sometime in December, but it will be our first bottle conditioned beer and we're still working through some of the logistics before we can finalize the release date.
