I believe that it is required.

Love that during signup this year they clearly oulined what shift got what tickets to the fest and that you got to specifically choose when you wanted to go.

Seems like the Coordinators are on top of email this year as well. Should be a great time!

I volunteered the last two years and didn't go to the training. I just sent them an e-mail explaining I live too far away to do the training.

Good To Know. The training itself is pretty useless.

Yea. As long as you are a team player with any hint of logic and idea for how this thing operates, you'll be just fine.

Going to the training party is worth it though. Good times at Buckledown last year.

Agree. Great to meet folks and have some brew. Its a fun time but there is very little required information if any.

So which end of the glass do you pour the beer into and how many tickets for a keg stand of BA Abraxas?

Could someone tell me if they actually check their volunteer registry against the ServeSafe database? I remember last year hearing that everyone that volunteered needed to be certified?

There was nothing mentioned in the volunteer emails I've seen thus far.

I was happy to get a FOBAB pre sale code despite thinking I was a day late with Imbibe. What are your thoughts on doing back to back days? Would it be too much? Don't live in the city so train/long uber ride back

Last year I did back to back days, Friday night and Saturday morning. Just make sure to not get too drunk the first night and you should be fine. I live in Milwaukee so i took the train down and got a hotel about 1-1.5 miles from the event and walked to and from the fest. I'm not all that familiar with the outside areas so i don't know how long it would take to get out of the city.

What this means is leave after the VIP hour...

We did trains too and from last year. Only pain was getting an uber after the fest with a GF too hardheaded to bring a coat in 0 degree weather. Other than that it was no big deal and we were both fairly sober after the cab+hour train ride.

I didn't have Early access last year so I wouldn't know how the tickets read, but the early tickets this year say general admission. Is that correct? How will they know it's early access?

Just looked at my ticket. On the first page, it says 1 hour early admission in the box below the QR code.

I'm pretty sure general admission ticket sales begin a week from today but I've not seen any specifics, e.g., where or when to buy--have I just missed it or are these details not yet available?

I see it now thanks. Just kinda strange how it's identified as general admission. And only shows early access in the small print

Early access tickets for ImBibe members starts today, but they tickets are labeled as general admission
