How do people get this at other places than the brewery or restaurants/bars? I've seen a lot of people on Untappd that are drinking it at their residence or out of the state of Vermont. As far as I knew it was not for retail sale so how does one go about getting it?

I have heard some people bribing bartenders to sell them cans.

This, interested to see if my buddy brings one home or me this weekend. But I really don't agree with it.

That's my assumption as well, based on the FT offers for this. People are so silly.

I think its a combination of bartenders/bar owners lifting it from their establishments or people illegally buying cans from bartenders.

I saw someone with about a case worth of it so that makes you wonder

They do sell cans at the occasional pop up tent sales.

I know of a few employees at some places who are able to buy 4pks if there is any leftover week to week.

I have convinced an establishment to sell unopened cans. It is a fairly common practice.

I don't see how bribing a bartender for a can of beer is ethical when you're essentially going above the arrangement that the Alchemist has with certain bars to carry their beer in cans.

Really, this neckbeardism bullshit has to stop. Buy it legally or fuck off.

I stayed at the Hotel VT in downtown Burlington in Nov and had 1/2 Dozen FBs over two nights. Great beer -- can't wait until cases are available.

Relax is right, why are you white-knighting this? Are you mad that some people have gotten to enjoy FB privately because they're in the know?

How is it hypocritical? From a discussion standpoint and after reading the article I can see where bars and restaurants feel it's not a level playing field. They are required to pay significantly more for fees and licensing for operating as a bar. Tasting rooms can sell pints, have music, and act as a bar to some degree. Not saying they're right or wrong, but surely you can see where they are coming from even if you don't agree.

No, I'm mad because they could be jeopardizing an agreement in place. Unless I'm wrong on this one, I assume that bottles sold on premise at a restaurant or bar are for consumption on premises only. Might be a state law.

I mean, the new brewery is opening very soon. It won't be long before more FB is released.
