Foley had solid lines at their booth for my whole session at VT brewfest this year. They are definitely starting to get attention. Hawaiian King was my favorite beer that I had that day.

Maybe the most underrated beer in VT?

If they had better marketing, sold their stuff in cans only at the brewery and imposed limits I feel like people would be all over their beers way more than they are now.

I grew up in Brandon and I'm flying back home to play in a golf tournament with my dad and a bunch of his cronies for a few days in September. Family no longer lives in VT but we're staying with family friends who's property literally borders Foley Brothers. Not to mention the brewery is literally steps from
The 5th green of the course where the tournament is held. Needless to say I'm going to be drinking a lot of good beer for those few days.

If anyone on here is a golfer and is thinking of hitting up Foley Brothers, do yourself a favor and throw your sticks in the car. Neshobe golf course is right there and is a fun little track. It's a little red neck and has some funky old holes mixed in with some beautiful new holes but a really fun course with great views. 2 drivable par 4s, some shortish par 5s if you can bomb it and tiny sloping greens. If you make it through the first two holes without hitting a ball in the road you're off to a good start.

Maybe. Close call on taste, but not close on cost really. There's a reason bombers are fading and cans are dominating.

    Foley Brothers is great.

Not to beat a dead horse...but I really wish they dated their bottles. In the past, I've stumbled upon their stuff in random stores in Mass that don't draw a big craft beer crowd and probably don't know what they're sitting on (usually it's Fair Maiden)... And who knows how long it has been sitting there?

There are so many amazing VT brewers right now. Foley is solid of course. Picked up a Frost Lush when I was up last weekend, and it was fantastic.

Tipping Point...this IPA came out very nice and is a blend of Medusa, El Dorado and Jarrylo. Just under a double and missing nothing! 7.5% abv

Just some more love for these guys. Staying with friends next door to the brewery. Stopped in yesterday around 3:00 and there were maybe 2-3 people around. A Belgian Wit, Decided Funk, a BBA Imperial Porter with Maple, Prospect, and Tipping Point were all on tap. Tried every one of them of course and was very impressed with each. Got to talk with one of the assistant Brewers for a while and check out their 7 BBl system. Homebrewers would be impressed. Every step is still done by hand. There is zero automation.

This place is a must stop if you're anywhere nearby. The setting is beautiful and I would bet it's pretty mellow most of the time. As I stated before if they had better marketing/branding (or even a frickin website), packaged in cans, limited distribution, and at least put dates on bottles, they would be one of the hottest breweries in New England. Their beer is that good, especially fresh.

Any plans for these guys to date their stuff? I came across some Fair Maiden today but couldn't find any date. Didn't want to roll the dice, so there its its....

Bought a couple Tipping Point bombers, just another killer brew from the bros, worth the price, worth the trip!

I bought a bottle of Pieces of 8 at CBC Fenway today. First time I've seen it in Boston but they only got one case.

I'm going to be visiting the great state of Vermont for the first time this Thursday-Sunday, going to try and make it to Foley Bro's in person. If I don't make it, do the stores in Waterbury or surrounding areas keep stock of Foley Bros? I've had Prospect before and I loved it and I want to snag a few while I'm in town.

You can usually find their available options at the store's around Waterbury. Craft Beer Cellar had a bunch when I was there 2 weeks ago.

Like jhavs said, CBC in Waterbury (and others like Crossroads) will have Foley in stock. Just keep in mind they don't distribute all their beers all the time so they might not have Prospect. I was up in VT a few weeks ago, and they had not released Prospect recently.

Pieces of 8 is my favorite beer. I do not understand how that and Prospect aren't in the top 250?

Also, was there in mid-July and bought a BA Rusty Musket (red ale) and it was phenomenal. Hope they start producing that in mass quantities.

Agreed. I've had them side by side with the best and they are right there.

Hawaiian King was delicious when I tried it at the brewery. Looking forward to my bottle this winter.

I bought two of their beers in March when I was in VT. Got them at HMC.

My bag ripped in my kitchen right before it hit the table. They made it 400+ miles to only crash at my feet. Both bottles broke, but my HF bottles were unharmed. It was a total bummer but I considered myself lucky that my Arthur and Geneology bottles survived the fall.

Luckily, I had a plethora of HF, including several growlers of Double Citra, HT, SOS and Tribute to calm my sorrows.
