Just wanted to see if some of you kind folks could help me out. Never been to the brewery so have no idea what to expect. Bringing my girlfriend along to enjoy the brewery and some good beers but obviously don't want to miss out on the release. Was hoping 2pm would be sufficient but again looking for some folks with experience on this. Even simple things such as parking/ect?? Bringing a few beers with not sure if that is allowed or not. Thanks in advance! Jeremy
I'm curious about this, as well. I've been to FF before, but not for a release. Are bottle shares allowed? I'm brining some Side Project, De Garde, and New Glarus sours that I'd love to share, but don't want to cause a scene or run into any issues. Either way, I'm looking forward to the release and meeting some local BAs (I just moved to NC).
given the higher bottle count this time around, you should be fine getting there an hour early. parking in morganton is always plentiful so long as you don't mind walking a block or two. i'd imagine that your safest bet for a bottle share is to set something up at a local hotel for later in the evening.
Parking is somewhat limited. There is 'public' parking a few blocks down. And there is parking at a laundromat across the street, although I'm not sure if you're allowed to park there. People did for the last release and it didn't seem to be a problem.
Last release went smoothly. No drinking in line, but the wait was quite short. I talked to some really nice people in line and I know one of the guys (who was a morganton native relocated to GA) brought stuff to trade. It made me wish that I did as well. That said, I'll probably be bringing a few bottles to bounce off of non locals.
If anyone one local to Raleigh/Triangle wants to trade some MeeMaw, I'll have Cuvée De Castleton, among many other options. Send me a note
It was an absolutely crazy list. Sal De Gusano, Meemaw, Papamace, Shopping Spree were all crazy good. The rest were only 'merely' good/great. The only real miss that I tried was Supper Table (the sweet potato beer).
