Foot Hills/Cottonwood Bottle Codes

    I noticed on Friday that these beers have bottle codes on them now (could've been there before, but I hadn't noticed.) I picked up a 6 pack of Hoppyum with a code of 070113XXX assuming the first 6 digits meant it was bottled on July 1st. Based on the flavor of the beer, I no longer believe that. Anyone know how to decipher these?

    I don't know the code, but I do know this is something that they had planned on starting. They were no bottle dates in the past however, per the brewery, it's something they planned on starting soon. And from your explanation, it appears as though they have.

    It's just hard for me to believe the Hoppyum I got this weekend was less than a month old. I was thinking possibly the date on the bottle was a "best by" date. Maybe it was just a bad batch or something.
