Thought some of you might like to know that Foothills has brought back their Baltic Porter, and they've got bottles of it at the brewpub in Winston. I had this when they released it back in 2010 and absolutely loved it. That love was rekindled at Black and Blue earlier this month, as it was as good as ever. https://www.facebook.com/FoothillsB...12495/10152021494337496/?type=1&stream_ref=10
That was a GREAT brew! I'm glad to see it's back. The 2010 version was exclusives to Sam's Quik Shop in Durham I believe and their logo was on the label. Is that the same situation here?
No sir, it's a different label. I asked on Twitter about distribution and was told it's a brewpub-only thing right now. Hopefully it'll eventually find its way into other markets; I really enjoy this beer.
Have been told that the reason they decided to bring it back was actually for Sam's, for opening the new bottle shop, so I wouldn't be surprised if the bulk of it ends up there.
Any update on when this might be at the pub for sale. I've been waiting patiently long enough. This guy needs his Baltic Porter.
My favorite Foothills beer. Though I am also a huge fan of Jade and BASC, there are lots of other great DIPAs and BA stouts out there. Not so many great Baltic Porters. Glad to see its return.
Love it, Foothills' and Duck-Rabbit's, but his point stands in the grand scheme of things. We need more Baltic porters!
