Foothills BASC Release

Really hoping some might last until Sun afternoon, will be passing through W-S heading back from Asheville then.

 

Anyone on this thread definitely going Friday night & into the next day? Hit me up, I will be driving over from Birmingham that evening & plan to do the all-nighter on the sidewalk. Hoping a couple friends will join me, but I'll go solo if need be. This should be much more comfortable than camping out for Bourbon County's release last year! Miserably wet & cold. But I did meet some friends in line, so that was cool.

 

Its not going to be cold but looks like it could be miserably wet.

 

My group will be there, feel free to join us, we will probably have a big tent as it looks like some serious rain.

 

They've upped the bottle limit to 12 this year.

 

Will be there all night as well.

 

Will be on the lookout for a big tent with numerous inebriated people.

 

Anyone coming down to Winston from Asheville for this release?

 

I probably will be. I work Friday night until 1 a.m., though, so was not planning on getting there super early.

 

Then there should be plenty on Sunday!

Not just a little rain either. Going to be a bunch of drunk ducks out there come Friday at 2am.

 

That wasn't the case with regular, so I wouldn't put that in stone just yet. Regular sold out around noon-ish? on Saturday with the increased limit.

 

Yup... if the forecast holds we'll probably change our plans from driving in Friday night (from Durham) and participating in the festivities and getting in line at 2:00 to just getting up early and getting over there by 6:00-6:30 a little further back in line I guess. Not hanging out in rain gear for 7+ hours overnight. They wont answer the question as to whether we could have an awning / portable sun/rain cover in line, so not going to chance it.

 

I don't see there being an issue with pop up tents in the parking lot given the forecast. If they don't allow them, I don't think many people will be staying overnight, unless they stay in their car.

 

I was thinking about showing up between 5 and 6. Thinking that should be early enough.

I already packed my rain coat. It will also keep beer off of my shirt. Kind of a kill 2 birds with one stone deal.

 

We are bringing an awning, so I got you mang.
