Buffalo Trace Bourbon...not sure if they normally age for 4 months for BASC.

Seems I've heard before they usually empty the barrels around 4-6 months. Really just depends on how fresh the barrels are and how much 'juice' was left in them. I think this year's is probably drinking better fresh than it has in several years.

**I'm excited to see what Foothills releases this Fall**

If they do another share for the August release that would be 3 bomb-ass shares at Foothills in one year... I can't handle all the excitement!

This batch was 6 months. I confirmed with the brewery this morning. The label is incorrect (the 4 month statement did seem off to me).

Looks like this is hitting distro. Go figure.

Come and gone last week in the Triad and Triangle. Is it reaching farther?

I just saw a shop in Raleigh post today. Didn't even see mentions last week, but I was out of town and could have totally missed it.

Hmm, yeah, saw Ridgewood today too. Maybe I'm misremembering about Triangle. I'm sure (90%) Stella posted theirs on Friday. Maybe I'm just losing it.

Interesting that this ended up going to distribution. I wonder if it was planned or if it just didn't sell like they thought it would.

Just a bigger batch, the bottle limit has increased yearly so it's no surprise it eventually hit distro.

Yeah they make a ton of it. I'd guess distro wasn't planned persay, but they probably had a pretty good idea that they wouldn't sell it all at the brewery.

Nothing wrong with getting more tasty beer out there, no lines, no waiting, no fuss. Makes life a lot easier.

The release is run as smooth as silk - a line with some waiting but no fuss and the bottle share the night before is off the charts great!!!!!
