On tap now and also available in 6ers for 8 bucks. This is really a well done Black IPA, done under the Cottonwood label, and it's well worth a try.

I was impressed, it's so easy to screw up Black IPA's, most are too heavy on the burnt malt, but they nailed this one.

This one has actually been around for a while. I used to drink it when Carolina Beer Company was brewing it prior to being purchased by Foothills. It's a good beer.

It was a winter warmer when it was previously released. The Foothills version is a new recipe, a black IPA as mentioned above.

Nope. We are perfectly seasoned. We experience all 4 seasons. Except last year. We only got spring, summer, fall, and fall/spring.

I thought last year it was more like summer, warm summer, fall, and summer.

HA! You realize most of NC is transplants from the north right? Born and raised in PA here. I will say my blood has thinned though. I have to buy special clothes when I go see my parents over thanksgiving. Burrrrr.

Born and raised in Pa as well, don't mind the cold, but IMO nothing is as cold on a cold day in the South when the humidity is up a little, and it's a little windy. As a deer hunter I've been colder here than anywhere I've hunted including Maine, Montana, Wyoming. Hate the jersey beach though after getting used to Myrtle Beaches 84 degree water in July. That northern water shrinks the nuts to the size of a walnut.

Had one on Monday. Not my favorite style, but it was good.
