So, I am going to make the trip on 12/8 to wait in line at Foothills in Winston-Salem for 4 bottles of Olde Rabbit's Foot. Has anyone done this before? When they say arrive early, just how early are we talking? Release is at 10am I think...I was thinking about getting in line 3-4 hours early, but don't want to miss out on getting the bottles...any suggestions?

Haha, that would probably be necessary for the BB Sexual Chocolate release, but I am hoping this one doesn't pull such a huge crowd.

This is the beer that has always alluded me. I've had trades lined up for it that have fallen through, and mates of mine have had trades lined up for it for me, which have then fallen through. I'll admit I haven't been all that impressed by Duck Rabbit so far, but I've enjoyed all the stout beer I've had from Foothills and Hickory, so this one would probably be right up my alley.

Can someone provide a few details? For example, which beers are involved in the blend and in what ratio, where are they brewed for this, and which barrels is the blend aged in? Any other info would be nice.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I'll probably be looking to trade for this one. I like Olde Hickory Imperial Stout, Event Horizon, and BASC. I guess it is only natural for me to try this one.

I have yet to get my hands on a bottle either. But I will be purchasing the limit (4) this time around. Might be able to trade for something cool, we'll see....

The only information I have on it is this: all three breweries (Foothills, Duck Rabbit, Olde Hickory) contribute to the wort with their signature imperial stouts. The brew is aged in Pappy Van Winkle bourbon barrels with honey and cocoa nibs.

    Sounds delicious!

Bluecane....you got anything to trade for a 2011 Cafe Royale? Some of the BC4M are making the trip there and could bring you one for a good trade...perhaps even a bottle of this years ORF to swap for it

Last year it wasn't very busy compared to BASC and there was only about 100 people in line. They still had bottles Sunday morning from what I remember.

I will be there as well, plan on leaving my place at about 4 am, puts me there at 6:30AM. It would be great if they had more when the line was gone, I wouldn't mind going for seconds. :-)
