It did not win because it was not entered into competition.

I ended up with three bottles and drank two. I think I'm going to pass along the third. Spread the wealth, people.

You can spread the wealth without trading. Bringing nice beers to tastings works too.

Goose Island did not enter it into competition. You will have to ask them. Although, I think I remember John Laffler tweeting something about how he should have entered it after seeing how people reacted to it.

I think beerandraiderfan would trade it for a Busch Light based on the review he posted just now .... We have a new low rating.

If I trade it, its gonna be for a Central Waters Exodus through an established trading partner.

Instead of the Keystone Pipeline, I'm proposing a pipeline between my house and Wisconsin, call it the Black Tuesday/Central Waters pipeline, as I think I've made about a half dozen of those trades the last 6 months.

To be fair, I did think King Henry was better than average. I cannot say the same for Busch Light.

I actually played golf last week and the course hadn't received the beer shipment yet except for Coors and Miller and did resort to knocking back a Coors Light (Is that abbrev. CL). I decided I am going with Gatorade if I'm ever in that spot again.

I was thinking more of the "Head for the mountains of Busch beer" ads from the 80s.

I thought that was a Coors ad .... Memory's fading I guess .... Wonder why?

I thought it was head for the mounds of Busch in the 80s?

1 KH shared with my wife over dinner
1 KH shared at an English Barleywine tasting with 17 PREVIOUS strangers
1 KH shared at a tasting with my best ever tasting partners
1 KH traded for minimal return (IP) with a friend from Avery brewery
Last KH just shipped off for Citra

I have had PLENTY of KH. The reason I love his community is because of thing like this: in one night, a great trader traded me Rare and Izzy for 4 50/50's + all my sours. (I already had a trade lined up for the Izzy. I am done with sours except to trade. The Rare was something he brought out of the blue because HE GETS IT!!!) In the same night, I traded another friend a batch 2 750mL Consecration for a 2008 750mL Angel's Share +. In the end, I ended up giving the Rare to the Angel's Share guy (because he never had it, I had another one coming, and I GET IT!!!), and he gave the Consecration to the Izzy guy.

Who came out ahead??? I'll tell you...

ALL OF US. We all got something great, and we will all trade and drink beers together forever. That is called GETTING IT.

King Henry is not good. It is GREAT. But I have had it. Most of mine were shared or traded with/to folks that hadn't. That is my choice. Choose whatever you want. But if you don't operate like me...believe me, it is obvious. To EVERYONE. And you should learn not to expect generosity in your life (beer life either), only consistent disappointment.

Sorry for the rant. ENJOY BEER!!! TOGETHER!!!

Why does everyone say KH had a 12k bottle count? I thought Goose Island didn't release numbers anymore. And also, wasn't Rare only 11k bottles?
