Beachwood BBQ is doing their lottery deal.
Haven't had Younger in 3 years now. Don't think I'll search for it this year. I may throw some $$'s into BW's lottery and if I win then I guess I'll collect on it. But otherwise…..

If EAH gets it they usually do a ticket type deal, like last year, to make the lines less ridiculous and also guarantee that their 80in80 members get a glass. Still have to pay for it of course but guaranteed that pint without the need to wait in any line.

3 hour limit at the brewpub this year. Probably a good idea. Last year I was there 15 hours over two days; it will be nice to actually see what else is in the area since I won't be able to hole up there, lol.

Curious to see if and how they'll actually enforce the 3 hour limit. Some of the waiters there don't even enforce the 3 pour max limit on Younger.

Interested to see how they police this- easy if they just clear the pub completely every 3 hours but what if people leave after 2 hours, will they do 'one in, one out' and, if so, what happens to the people who got in late when the 3 hours are up?

My guess is since most orders are done via the little palm tablets, they'll take a look as you order new beers and tell you your time is up? Not sure how they'll handle the bar.

Maybe they'll jot down what time each table is seated on a clipboard and refer to the clipboard when doing time checks.

is it bad parenting to take my son to RR for his 1st birthday? i mean, he already has a tiny pliny shirt so i kinda have to, right?

If his 1st birthday is between 2/6 - 2/20, probably yes. Standing in a long line with a 1YO doesn't sound like fun for parent, son, or people around you.

Outside of Younger release, sounds like a great plan!

They will get some, the issue will be that there are now more 80in80 members than pours available. It will be interesting to see how they handle it this time around.

hmmm.. well i'll already be in town.. we try to go every year, just didnt go last year on account of son being born 2/10.. we've never really had much trouble with getting in to the brewpub.. usually go on a wednesday or thursday after lunch.. maybe around 3-4pm.. never waited more than an hour or so.. guess we'll see what happens.. worst case we head to bear republic for some bacon mac n' cheese!!

Pretty easy to do this. Beachwood has done it by writing the time that the table sits and goes from there.

Has anyone done the Beachwood BBQ method before in the past? Just wondering if I should even both with this. I wonder what the chances of winning really are. And if I do win, it's probably just one pour, right?

Yes it's worth it even for just donating the money to the charity.

Yes, of course donating money to charity is a good thing. My point was if I'm going to pay/donate $5, $20, $50 or whatever amount and my chances of getting a single pour or 1/2000 than I'd rather stand in line for an hour or 2 somewhere else.

I've spent $25 the past couple of years and won both times (twice the first year). It's great to just cruise in and get your pour, no hassle/no line (while also supporting a great cause).
