This sounds great! Selfishly, I'll advocate to start a week earlier (8/21), because there is a fundraiser at Mott St on 8/28. If I miss this first one, I'll just get extra-excited about the next one.

Also, I'm another anti-Facebooker, but I can at least provide my email address.

Also also, I've seen some bars ask for participants to order at least one draft (or some food) during the share, so as not to take up seats for non-rev passengers (I'm thinking about airplanes, I guess).

who all is going for the Snoochie release today?
I'm hoping to make it in time after work, but am planning on just dropping in, buying cans, and have to head out.

    Beer Update:

    Ghost Tropic - DIPA 8.2%
Straight forward malt bill (no rye, lactose, funny-business)

First brew using the new hops we got in...and the early results are in.

If I had to describe it in one image:

As I mentioned before, this beer is completely different than the 1st batch of GT. Literally, the only thing the same is the name.

    Aroma:
Big pineapple, cotton candy and a little vanilla. Reminiscent of Stay Lit.

    Flavor/mouthfeel:
Body is big and thick. Slightly sweet. Nectar-like. Lower bitterness than Snoochie.

Gonna carb this fucker low and let the juice junkies get their fix.

Should be on tap Friday by 5pm.

I think denial is the first step, what step is the brewer telling you you're an addict?

I'm a little bummed FR isn't going to be at GTMW this Saturday (according to the fest program). Was hoping to try some of their tasty beers this weekend.

haven't been able to try snoochie's, how does it compare to radio swan?

RS was a big hit at a dinner party the other week.

Snoochie is more in line with a standard NEDIPA. Lotsa citra & mosaic. Brighter and a little more bitter than RS. Soft mouthfeel, medium body. Easy drinking for 8%.

If you liked RS, pick up Snoochie. BJ (obviously) has the comparison covered, but it's safe to say that if you really liked one, the other is at the very least worth trying.

Snoochies is my #1 Chicago NE style IPA - well worth picking up.

Hey @BJP is this batch going to see the same limited distribution as the prior Radio Swan and Snoochies releases? I can't make it to the brewpub today, but I was hoping to get some later in the week if it hits distro.

Yep...should be pretty close to the same footprint as RS.

Sorry if this has been addressed, but @BJP is the 2PP lower than it was last time? Trying to get a rough sense of odds of availability into tomorrow for those who cannot make it. I seem to remember it running out early evening in June.

Radio Swan was 2per as well and lasted under 2 hours FYI- as the night goes I will be doing my best to update the amount we have left!

    See ya tonight!
