Why ask? Just use the baby changing table in the men’s bathroom as the share table, and be discrete.

If staff gets wise and asks you about it, just make a cryptic “fist city” reference, and wink.

I promise they’ll leave you alone.

 

Wouldn't it be easier to ask them to have their event at FR's bottle share...

Gonna be at Forbidden Root (from New England) Saturday night. I'm stoked about visiting this place. What am I getting myself into? What on the menu is tasting great right now?

 

Eat there and get the burger, which is in the top ten (maybe top five) best burgers in the city.

Do flights so you can try a variety. They excel at a wide variety of styles, and you won't have a beer that's less than good, so just follow your heart and drink what sounds good. Most people on here will say to get the NEIPAs, as that's what they've made their name on in the beer nerd world, but really, they're very solid across the style gamut.

 

The schnitzel sandwich is really good too. They have some fun appetizer-ish stuff too.

Beer-wise, if you like Hudson Valley sour-type IPAs, try the Assembly Required that's on. They have about 5 hazies on - my favorite is Snoochie Boochies but there's a couple I haven't had yet. I'd also try Strawberry Basil Hefeweizen, maybe above any of the others I noted above.

 

Don’t sleep on the guest taps also. They usually have at least 1 tap dedicated to something really cool from another Chicago brewery. Sometimes it’s more, but you can usually count on 1.

 

I’ll echo what others have said. The tap list will be very good. They always have quality new school IPAs, they just came out with a gorgeous Vienna lager, and have a nice guest list. You’ll be happy with whatever you go with. It’s a low risk spot, can’t go wrong.
