@BJP whatcha playing for the release? If I didn't have appliances being delivered today I'd probably be there to hear for myself - getting old and responsible is tough. Well, I stand corrected from earlier comments. They wanted to be more metal, like their growlers, and other places that will remain nameless.

EDIT: When I was in college and having a house party and wanted people to leave (because I didn't like them or it was dawn and just time for my hippie friends to leave) I just blasted Reign In Blood - all 29 minutes of it. People leave quickly then. Maybe that's a sound business approach to get your cans to last...

Great release by FB. Stopped in around 5:40 had a glass of atomic child (highly recommend) and was out the doors with my cans by 6:05. Very smooth process and friendly staff. Looking forward to the next can release!

 

I'm a big fan of Shamms, unfiltered American lager. I think that beer could be a hit among non-craft, fringe craft, and uber craft drinkers in the right packaging and price point.

 

How's it looking, close to selling out?

 

i luckily live 2 blocks away (since 2004). i now have kids and they are always super cool

 

i also picked up a glass. its pretty thick glass and seems sorta hard to break

 

Completely agreed. Even the beers that I had back then that I borderline hated I'm a big fan of now. These guys are in the conversation for top three in Chicago (based on my own personal preference).

Release tonight was easy, just like Snoochie. Atomic Child is my favorite of their stuff, so I can't wait for that canning run. I'd love to see what BJ can do with just Nelson hops...if he can ever get his hands on them.

 

Great job tonight, Guys. Really well done. Radio Swan is great and I still can't believe those glasses are only $5.

Was able to make it down for the release. Showed up about 6:40 and there were about 10 people in line. Bar was packed and the inside was packed. Took about 10 minutes to grab the cans. Artist was signing cards and was really nice to speak with for a couple of moments.

I'm very excited to give this a try out of a can and hope for continued great offerings from FR.

I have to imagine things are close to being gone, if not gone already. It sounded like things were low when I was leaving just before 7.

Interesting. I really didn't like Keine. Thought it was thin and only had faint flavor.

I agree. That batch is hella old and intensity has really faded. Body needs to be bumped 1.5x.

 

My man! I know you been dialing in the NE IPAs (awesome BTW) but I'm excited for your stout game as well.

 

Thank you for the delicious beer. Don't know what you changed, but this batch of Radio Swan in cans beats out the one I had on draft a few weeks ago. You had said you weren't sure this batch would be ready for prime time by the can release date, but it is tasting great to me. Please keep them coming!

 

This batch of Radio Swan is unreal. I would drink this all day.
