Who’s had Frame and Canvas! Had yesterday off and I’m in 10 to Volume today and will be giving it a full pour as soon as I’m done!

@KrajDoesBeer So if I stop in to be told that the Snoochie cans are gone, how I do go about saying that I'm a BA guy? Literally saying, "hey I heard there are some in back for Beer Advocate members...." ?

 

There are also cans at local bottle shops. Binny’s, too!

Had the wife run in at open today for a 32oz growler fill. I'm loving the hop combo in F&C. Definitely on the danker side, which I enjoy. Regretting not going 64oz. Very well done!

 

Cans are tasting fantastic! Knocked a few down while winterizing my sprinkler system. Definitely made the job feel quicker.

 

Frame & Canvas is unreal. Interesting hop combo for this style of beer, especially the Chinook. Extremely soft fluffy and full body, and it is very piney and dank up front and then as it warms up there are lots of great citrus and tropical notes coming through the pine. Another Forbidden Root winner and top notch beer. I really hope this gets canned some day down the line as the ABV is more in the range of what I prefer drinking these days. Really incredible and I want to drink it all day long. I left with a 64 oz growler of this. Get there and try this asap.

The new version of Hopstead is awesome and I like it a lot more than the previous version, I think @KrajDoesBeer said this one is with El Dorado hops and I love El Dorado, this is a great hoppy farmhouse beer.

There is also a really dope funky brett / peppery beer from Logsdon on tap which is awesome. Pretty cool.

 

At least make him do the worm or something.

Came in late last night with my wife and two friends. Didn't grab any cans as we were doing a bit of bar hopping.

However, our friends raved about everything at FR. The food, the service, and the beers.

- Definitely echo the feelings on Frame and Canvas. The Chinook gives it a more piney IPA finish than a straight juice bomb, but it adds a wholeness to the beer, especially as it warmed a bit.

- Snoochie was excellent, as a bunch of others have noted. One that I enjoyed was Major Label Debut. Great roasted notes in this one. This is probably an easy thing to say (maybe cliche), but some barrel and added viscosity would make this beer even better.

Looking forward to the Ghost Tropic release!

 

Really enjoyed Frame and Canvas. So good I had to get two glasses.

The Major Label with the maple coffee bourbon shot in it was awesome too. Love these infusions they have on the menu.

 

Drank another can of Snoochie today and I gotta say it might be at its peak right now (possibly another week as well). Tasting fantastic! Mad props to @KrajDoesBeer for keeping all of us nerds in the loop and helping us out. Also, mad props to @NikNikNik and @BJP for brewing incredible beers. Love the Root!

 

Hittin' you guys this evening with a friend - can't wait to try the latest releases, and those DAMN LAMB RIBS which continue to haunt me. Appropriately enough.
(Lamb rib ghosts are the best).

Major Label Chai is on its last legs....

the next ML variant will be on for 11/9

now major update---

Ghost Tropic Cans WILL NOT hit distro... only in house sales and not a huge run so plan accordingly... will be hard to say if it goes through thursday and unfortunately cant hold any for a smaller run! It will be limit 2 4 packs per person...

We will also have a brand new IPA tapping 11/9 as well!

PS the Logsdon Farms Szech and Brett thats on is tasting amazing...
