    I was talking about the remaining cans. Poor choice of words, which I blame on the Might Meets Right (Heaven Hill) that I had immediately preceding the Toro. That's a lot of ABV for a Monday!!

    That is how you handle your business. Kudos Kraj. I had a flat Toro can that was merely just that and one can that was just fine so far and about 5 cans of Snoochie that tasted great. Will be hunting down Ghost Tropic this week.

    After all the talk of flat cans, I decided to crack my first toro can tonight - picked it up from the brewery when it was released - this can is pretty much completely flat, but I'm not getting any off flavors like wet cardboard or anything.

    For those that have had carbed Toro and the "flat" Toro, what is the difference that you taste? The mouthfeel in the "flat" cans seemed to be spot on with what a pillowly, fulll bodied NEIPA should be, I would imagine it would be off putting if it had been more effervescent....

    I think there is a serious divide between low and high carb fans for these hazy beers. I find that a lot of the ones that people say are "flat" are just pleasantly smooth.

    I would think bubbles= air= thinner mouthfeel. Or is the carbonic bite that balances out the sweetness missing perhaps?

    I've had lots of pillowy full bodied NEIPA that were also vibrantly carbonated. To me the carbonation or lack thereof can affect mouthfeel, but its a tertiary affect whereas the beer makeup itself plays a far bigger role in mouthfeel.

    I've had lots of low carbed NE style IPAs (in fairness I like some, but didn't like others) - these (to me) seem to be beyond low carbed to the point of seeming flat. But again - I'll agree its all in perception and I have a low tolerance for low(er) carbed beers.
