Hi all, will be in the Fort Collins area next week (11/11- 11/17). My daughter will be moving to the area in March and we are doing a scouting mission. What are the must hit spots? Anyone looking for anything from NorCal for IP trade or share while in the area. I should have some Moksa member and SARA member bottles with me to open. Cheers

Funkwerks, Odell for breweries, Tap n Handle for Beer Bar, and Choice City for food/beer combo. IMO.

Admittedly, been about 5 years since I was last up in Fort Collins so there's most likely some spots I am missing (like Zwei I'd imagine is a must stop), but you can't go wrong with those spots.

Lots of good options up there. While it might seem pedestrian, don't sleep on New Belgium. They have one of the best tours on the planet and they have a ton of their sour program beers available to try.

Big fan of Jessup Farms. They're doing a lot of interesting stuff, and if you like sour/funk Purpose Brewing and Cellars (Peter Bouckaert is a rockstar).

    Odell
    Zwei
    Funkwerks
    Equinox
    Jessup
    Purpose

If you only have time to stop at 6 places while you’re here, I’d recommend these in any order... although Zwei and Purpose are blocks from one another so I’d group them.

Also- Tap and Handle >>>>> any other beer bar you’ve visited. Don’t forget to check out their bottle list!

Weldwerks was my favorite stop in the area, followed by Zwei. Tap and Handle was above average lunch and beer, Choice City provided amazing steaks to grill and a nice beer selection while I picked out the meat. New Belgium hosted an interesting tour, Odell was fun, great people, good beer. Jessup was a great day trip with solid beers. Crooked Stave in Fort Collins had a cellar sale where I picked up several bottles of aged beers to take home. An honest review has to put Purpose as my least favorite, just my opinion, could be bad timing or my preferences.

    My top list would be
    Weldwerks
    Zwei
    Odell
    Jessup
    Choice City
    Tap and Handle
Shoes and Brews was a cool spot also

    Well done!
Looks like you got it in.

RE: Purpose.. I think they only have 4 beers at a time, often they are pretty ‘out there’ flavor wise. Very hit or miss ime, but the hits keep me coming back. The misses don’t end up being that much of a miss.. plus if I’m down that way Zwei is right there if my palate needs something normal lol
