Is the best IPA i've had from the PNW this year. Just wanted to let anyone wondering if it's that good this year. It is. It really is!

Awesome beer giving Block 15 tons of exposure up here.

Last year's (green can) was a collab between Fort George, Lompoc, and Gigantic. This year's (silver can) is a collab between Fort George, Block 15, and Boneyard. Both IPAs, and with the breweries involved this year, it packs more of a punch and is tons better than last years. I'm sure there is more info about what the different breweries brought to the table.

Just picked up another 4-pack of 3-Way for celebrating tomorrow after running the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon . Aww yeah.

    Such a fantastic beer.

Had it during my last visit to the brewery and have to agree that it's fantastic. Also have to say they're definitely one of my favorite breweries.

Why the (aka RPM) parenthetical? The two are nothing alike, IMO.

I love this year's version. Vastly superior to last year's, though already impossible to find in Salem.

Agreed - 3-way is pretty good, but not at all similar to RPM in my opinion. RPM is such a wildcard that I'd say 3-way is better than the RPM batches that taste like they've been infused with breadcrumbs but not nearly as good as the fresh and floral batches.

Cool. I overheard someone say it was sold out last night. Maybe I'll swing by today!

Ya I second the not alike to RPM at all IMO. I very much like this years as well, but I give it up to last year personally. I liked the aroma and hop profile more. The aroma smelled like straight skunky you know what haha I wish I could take the hop profile of last years and put it with this years malt character because I prefer the body and malt of 2014 version better. So I suppose its really a toss up when I ask myself which I like better. Last year might squeak by as my personal choice still however.... Its hard when you have 3 awesome breweries that are so good in their own way doing a collab because its hard for them to all show their individual great uniqueness in one can of beer. Nevertheless this years is fantastic and I'm really diggin it! Cheers!

I looked for this beer at about five places in Seattle this morning while on my rounds... to no avail. This is deeply upsetting.

I submitted a suggestion to change the earlier version name to "3-Way IPA (Gigantic/Lompoc)" to make it more consistent and allay confusion, but that change did not seem to be accepted. I get the impression that 3-Way may be an intended series of collaborations. It would be hard to beat this one, IMHO. It has a lot of Boneyard influence, but is not the same as RPM, as others have noted. One of the better IPAs of the year so far.

Thanks man. I was mostly looking between 85th & 105th (although BW was also out). Just ran down to WF and grabbed a 4-pack before we have to head down for a family thing near Tacoma... Cheers!

I'm on a break from my weekly Saturday-morning Chuck's runs until my daughter's ballet class resumes in the fall... otherwise I'd have been there around 10:35 this morning.

But we just got home and I cracked my first can, and all I can say is thanks @Mages64 for drawing our attention to this one. It's a real winner.
