Just to confirm, I left at 5pm today with 6 bottles and that truly is the limit. I am happy to have visited and have the timing absolutely perfect. 42 euro by the way ; )

Nope - you've got it all right, Thijs. Apricots leave a funky after-smell; raspberries provide a fresh, sweet, neutral scent ;) Keep using the Boos!

So I will be there next Thursday... What are the chances that there will still be bottles for Tender?

I am not a Yankee. I am 100% Masshole. There is a difference. I need to find a local Brussels mule to get 6 extra bottles for me.

Pouvez-vous venir et acheter de la bière pour moi?

    or

Kun je komen en kopen wat bier voor mij?

Will that work on the streets of Brussels to get me a mule?

The other reply nailed it. 42 euro per case of 6. I also figure in my 60 euro rental car from Luxembourg, so 102 euro per case. Worth every little bit!

And sometimes late at night you can find me in the closet drinking that sturdy brewers stuff too :)

Sorry for the confusion on the bottle limit. Maybe I was the first to buy and they weren't ready or something.

Anyway two is fine for me. need room for some good Dutch beer. Well of to the Kulminator. I shared some homebrew with them last night. Need to see if they survivr*ed the night.

    cheers

There is way too much sleaze in this thread. Fou' Foune brings out the best in us, and makes us all look like oude hoeren.

I visited Cantillon for the first time yesterday and I was shocked at how much of a factory it is. Beer geekdom a so-called niche market? Try telling that to the folks at Cantillon :D

I took 6 bottles of Fou Foune with me just purely for trading purposes. I don't give a damn about sours but there are people out there who are willing to trade it for a vertical of eclipse or dark lord. You don't hear me complaining bout it :D

Damn, I'm not going to be in Belgium for another month. Was hoping to be able to get some of this as I've never had it but it sounds like it will be long gone.

I think Quintessence really took out some of thier supply. They definitley applied a two-bottle limit on Saturday, although somewhat liberally it seems. I feel my American accent is how they determined to apply such limit (hoarders!). Even my beautiful wife was limited to two bottles...

Cost in the U.S. (Philadelphia) is about $40 - $45 per bottle! And that's if you can find it. Usually gone in about 30 minutes.

Glad I got there early on when they had a 6 bottle limit and that they all made it home safe. I plan on enjoying my first fresh one this weekend. Also have a trade in shipment for an '08 Fou Foune and can not wait to do a side by side!

If someone local can get me a bottle, I'll happily have some quality bottles to trade you once I get in next week. Message me if you can really do it and want an idea of what I can trade. Thanks!

Once Duffman is taken care of, I too would like to set up an in person trade.

I'll be in Brussels on 10/29 (or 29/10 as you guys call it). Just let me know what beers you're looking for. Between my cellar and Colorado's distribution (Russian River, Great Divide, etc) I'm sure we can work something out!
