    Cross post from Trade Talk:

    Hello,
Notoriously / infamously, I am not a yellow beer kind of guy, but a local craft store is expecting a shipment on Black Friday. 1 per person. Is waiting in line worth the time? On one hand, I like apricots and might “want” to try it, but if it was anything like my Clover taste experience (read: meh, yellow beer :|), am I likely to get a preferred stout or barleywine?

    Thanks in advance!

Fou doesn't have quite as much appeal or rarity as Clover, but there will be people willing to put up about 50-60 in trade value for it. Whether it's worth getting it to trade depends on retail price and how long the line is.

Blame it on growing up drinking Sunny D, but I only want to drink hazy IPA until the end of time at this point in my journey.

With that said, I love Fou Foune and it's one of the only lambics I would always seek out. I totally recommend snagging one and sharing it with a friend or two if it isn't going to be too much trouble to get.

Happy to toss some florida stout your way for it if you get time and don't want it

I would say no to waiting in line unless you REALLY want some trade ammo. I'm sitting on 2 i got at the "brewery" that don't know what to do with. Shipping these bastards is a PITA.

    Good luck!

if you just hope more for trade ammo youre better off paying a premium and not wasting an hour or whatever in line.

    Time is money:wink:

I love the whole “yellow beer” reference.

Stouts and barleywines are much more accommodating and forgiving, IMO.

    Yellow beers are so, petulant.

“Drink me within 4 hours of canning or else my flavor dies like a fire fly in summer.”

“Taste the goat urine that splashed on the blade of grass next to the hop rhizome that sat in the mash. Fresh!”

“Keep me at 35 degrees Fahrenheit or I’ll turn into lemon dish soap.”

Stouts and barleywines are like, “whatever.”

    Fuckin love this.

I like that if the grid were to go out we'd be fine...the hop bois wouldn't know what to do:wink:

I think you could age Fou'Foune for a while. It already tastes like shit so what's the worst that can happen :stuck_out_tongue:
