How about a thursday visit around 4? Sorry if this is a redundant question. Couldn't find the intel anywhere.
Do they only do set allotments for each day and is there a limit on purchase amount? I'm passing by on business and only have about 30 minutes to spare. Hope I get lucky to grab some for myself and some friends to try.

Foundation won't hold anything back, 1 case limit per brand until it's gone. They usually last into Saturday but with the hoards descending on Bissell Bros for Swish I would expect Epiphany to run out instantaneously on Sat, right after the first people in line get their Swish and run next door. I would go on Friday to be safe.

If you haven't been there before it's a nice place to hang out as far as breweries go - there will be a food truck and Bissell does pours so you can try a variety of their beers if you haven't had them before (including those that aren't canned this week). If you have time, my ideal plan would be to hit Bissell around 1, try Substance first and if you like it buy some cans before they sell out (usually around 2). Grab some lunch from the food truck and eat while enjoying a couple of Bisell brews in their patio area. Then walk across the street to Allagash and check it out, coming back to Foundation to pick up some cans right as they open at 3.

Really helpful. Thanks. Luckily, I think this was our plan! One question, Foundation opens at 12 on Fridays, right? You mention 3 but I think that is just Thursdays unless I am wrong.

Ooops, you're right- they open at noon on Fridays. Coffee hasn't hit yet this morning

So, this weekend is an Epiphany release on Thurdsay, according to FB.

Bissell Bros is NOT open (?).

Does this mean Epiphany will likely be gone by Saturday opening? What's been the scene like at these releases and should I expect it to be a little crazier with no BB + the holiday + epiphany?

Epiphany release weekend of April 23rd was not crazy on Thursday but the beer was gone by midday Friday. I walked in on that Thursday with no problem (got my case, some Afterglow, a couple beers and found a seat at a table with no problem for 3 of us). That was with a Swish release on the Saturday of that weekend.

Honestly, there's always so many variables at play with these things, that I never know whether one data point is helpful or not.

Bissell being gone is a huge deterrent now. I always saw people in Bissell first, then Foundation. Or just Bissell. I love both but I imagine the crowds will be much thinner now. At least for people who know they are gone.

In regards to Foundation releases I see they release 2 beers every 2 weeks or so. But their website also lists them having blaze and a couple of bottles available. Is this normal? Basically if I go on a non-scheduled release week would they still have some cans or something to take with me? Or is the blaze just around from the release 3 weeks ago? Thanks

Blaze and Fading Light + another bottle I can't remember seem to linger around much much longer than Epiphany cans.

Don't sleep on Moveable Type (that other bottle) which is a great Brett Saison they released last fall. I've cracked one every few months since release to see how the brett has changed the beer. Really enjoy it.

What's their distro north of Portland? I am heading to Acadia on June 4th and looking to grab some cans. I doubt I can make the stop at the brewery (even still there is no cans released that weekend from what I can tell) but I am targeting a stop in Bangor or Belfast to stock up for the week. Any help would be appreciated.

Stop at Marshall Wharf Brewing in Belfast for fresh growlers enroute to Acadia. The Belfast Coop has a pretty decent selection of cans & bottles.

I don't think you'll have much luck finding anything outside of stopping at the brewery. Their distro is very limited and sporadic, and the few places that get cans of Epiphany (I've only seen it at Bier Cellar) sell out the day cans arrive. You may find a few straggler cans of something else at a random spot (I picked up some Afterglow a while back at Now You're Cooking, a cooking store in Bath with a very small beer/wine selection), but you're probably out of luck, unfortunately.

Made my first visit today, after some work meetings in Pittsfield, and in between visits to MBC in Freeport and Some in York.

No cans, chill scene, wish I wanted to own another growler and didn't have a 2 hr drive home.

Had my first taste of Wanderlust, which was delicious. Between that and Blaze, these guys are gradually steering my taste buds towards the spicy hoppy farmhouse stuff, which I never would have guessed would happen.

    And Epiphany..yummmmm...

The 2 hours wouldn't have done anything to the growler...but agree on the hoarding off too much brown glass.
