I don't agree with the Forge opinion itt... not a good RIS at all. 10+% but very thin, and super hoppy. It reminds me more of a high ABV black IPA than it does of a RIS.

Maybe I'm being harsh, it's not an unenjoyable beer, but not at all what I want when I buy a 10% RIS.

I agree with the fall off of phiff. Also agree with the Venture love. Really solid mixed berry DIPA.

Same experience here. When I first visited soon after they opened they sold themselves to me as a yeast driven brewery likening themselves to Allagash in that way. The only hoppy beer they had was a Belgian style IPA. They actually spoke somewhat down on IPAs at that time. After that they did a complete 180.

Are Piph cans still available at any spots in Southern Maine (Kitteryish area)? Looks like cans have made their way into Mass as well, which is the first time I've seen that (at least in multiple stores).

This, looks like the Epiphany of the past we loved.

Please report back on what you think. I had Epiphany at Thanksgiving and it was not good, hoping for an improvement...

Just curious if you know what the canning date was?

No, sorry, the cans are long gone. I bought it up in Vermont the day before Thanksgiving if that is of any help at all (though most likely not)....

I was unable to find any cans at my go-to bottle shops. I'll keep an eye out though. I really want Epiphany to return to glory.

So the 12/28 batch hit retail and I’m drinking one right now. I can happily say, at least with this batch, that it has definitely gotten better. Very familiar look and aromas and the flavors are there. Only minor complaint is a slightly watery mouthfeel, but it’s not bad really. So I’d say it’s worth picking up again.

had an epiphany - canning date 04/09?(hard to read, definitely april). tastes incredible. anyone else have recent batches? If this has been the norm lately I will without a doubt be picking this beer up more often. Oranges, pithy, full bodied etc

    Referencing Epiphany I assume?

Epiphany was one of my gateway beers about two years ago. I remember when I had it the first time and was absolutely blown away, but thereafter it fell off. I would be all jazzed up if it returned to form.

yup, snuck an edit in just in time. CBC had maybe half a case yesterday so I figured why not and bought a can. I wish I bought a 4 pack. It tastes as good as I remember it ever tasting.

Swung by my packie because of this update, as they had tweeted out an epiphany shipment a couple days ago. I got the last one. Had one. Agreed. Extremely good. Then again, I first tried epiphany just a few months ago and loved it then, too.

Just cracked an 11/20 Epiphany. Every time I open one of these it always has a very distinct Epiphany aroma/flavor/bitterness, which is super refreshing in the barrage of uniform IPA's that have flooded the market. Keep it up Foundation!

12/2 batch of piff. Visually it's a far cry from what people stood in lines for in the middle stages. Taste is on point. Very much back to original form. It will begin to rot on the shelves because I can see my fingers waving behind the glass...but still.
