Wow so much hate for Founders. I would say their year rounders are by far greater than your beloved New Glarus. Plus this thread had nothing to do with Rubaeus. If New Glalrus does indeed have a Rye IPA that would have been helpful to the OP's thread but simply showing up here to hate on Founder's in three consecutive posts has added nothing. Cheers!!

Backstage is not in this grid, am i missing something? Are those beers/release dates more fluid? no pun intended:grinning:

And I would wholeheartedly disagree. New Glarus doesn't have a ton of hoppy beers because Dan doesn't care about trends. Founders makes some good beers for sure, but for me New Glarus is higher-quality and more varied and interesting. You can love Founders all you want; I'm not stopping you.

People had commented about Rubaeus having a huge release window, and because I have an opinion like everyone else here, I decided to say what I thought about it. I don't need to add anything to the conversation when/if I choose to say something. Look around: not every comment adds to the conversation in any thread.

Thanks for your criticism of my criticism, but I will continue to say whatever I choose, regardless of whether it bashes on BA and Michigan darling Founders or not. Feel free to disparage New Glarus all you want in the meantime. Cheers.

All of their IPA's actually have the same shelf-life, but if you remember them saying, Red's is their most expensive year-round beer to brew due to the imported malts. Cheers!

Ok so you are partially correct. It is in line with their higher costing brews but I leave it on you to show prof that it is because of the malts. I however will provide you with proof that they did state publicly that it is tied for shortest shelf life with not all of their IPAs, just harvest ale. Cheers!

Do they ever bottle CBS? Is there ever a specific time when that is released it is random?

Officially the weakest schedule so far for 2015. Congratulations Founders. Thank god for the people on BeerAdvocate that still have their good stuff for trade.

You don't know? They release it on April 1st man. Every year.

I'm in NY. It doesn't make it hear. Was lucky to have it on tap here last month and it was fantastic.

That's KBS. He's asking about CBS. CBS hasn't been bottled for three years now, but might be coming back this year. If it does return it'll be as a Backstage Series release, which are not included on the calendar.

I second (or third, or fourth) the disappointment the Red's isn't being bottled, that's my favorite rye.

It was a joke...for the non-searchers. April fools day. Zing.

I made the mistake of buying a four pack or Rubaeus once, won't do that again. Hoping to see imperial stout soon.

There is a thread in "Beer Talk" with keg pics of 2014 CBS, and some info about its availability. Cheers!

Last I heard it was super-limited draft only. That's why I think they might be ramping up to bottle by the end of the year. After Blushing Monk, maybe?

Can confirm about cbs. Talked to a founders rep in chicago at black rocks tapping of cbs. He said they will not be bottling it this year or anytime soon as they aren't getting enough of the syrup barrels. He said that there's quite a few kegs roaming around though and that each state (and their respective cities) will be tapping it at their own discretion. I believe chicago has a few more kegs and he said that Virginia also has a few.
    Cheers!

Any word on when the Imperial Stout is hitting shelves, particularly in the PA/DC/VA area? I seem to remember it being out this time last year already.

It's been available in NoVA for at least 3 weeks, not sure how much is still around.

Yep. Black Rye is delicious - much better than Dark Pennance.
