What style is Summer Sizzler? I don't see it listed at all in the Beers section of BA. I'm not intrigued by Doom at all, since I've never enjoyed BA IPA's.

I've been wanting them to barrel age their Imperial Stout for a long time. It's easily in my top 5 for imperial stouts and I'd love to try a BA version.

Are azzaca cans available by you? Can never have enough canned Pale Ale options. Definitely am most excited about canned Mosaic Promise as well
Edit: Just looked on untappd and saw all the cans apparently making their rounds. Will be on the lookout!

Another vote for BA FIS....the reg is one of the few Founders beers that ages well, so I can only imagine how delicious the BA treatment would be

I enjoyed Doom, but was really hoping for some Panther Cub in bottles this year.

Hopefully better than the regular beer, every time I've had it in the past (probably 5+ times) it's been an ashy mess. Aged, fresh, didn't matter, always tasted like an ashtray smells.

    YMMV.

Do you mean FBS? I don't think I've ever detected anything resembling an ashy taste from regular imperial stout. I can see how the coffee profile in breakfast stout could give an ashy profile, but FIS... No way.

Looking forward to (insert terribly clever name here), a barrel-aged (maybe maple) version of (beer X name) with (way too much of whatever fruit) added.

Looking forward to all the new neckbeards complaining that CBS didn't live up to the hype.

No, I'm meaning FIS. I love FBS and KBS, neither of them have ever been ashy to me.

    Lol.

I had it on tap and in the last bottles to come to Ohio (2011?). It was good, but god that hype was stupid (and still is). Death Valley Shootout blew CBS into the dirt (IMHO).

CBS barrel 2 was on tap for over a week at founders when it was released in 2014. I went there for lunch 5 days in a row. I had 2 glasses of CBS and a French bread pizza every single one of those days. Still one of the best weeks ever. Only had Barrel 1 once, and it was about 2 years old at that time, the maple tasted more like molasses. This is a beer that is best enjoyed fresh. Those adjuncts aren't getting any better!

My understanding is that they do have some Sumatra in barrels. Maybe a Black Party tap if not a bottle release?

It will be interesting to see how CBS tastes fresh, if they brew it. Been a lot of good stuff along that style that has come out. See if it holds up to it all.

No, Bolt Cutter is Spike Cutlass aged in barrels. I'm pretty sure Doom is Double Trouble aged.......
