Saw an instagram post from Fullerton Beverage...didn't realized we're getting Founders in SoCal now.

Judging by the fact that they also had Dragon's Milk on their IG, I'd say there are just some shady sales going on. As far as I'm aware, Founders distro is still limited to NorCal.

I'm sure you'd see a lot of fanfare at shops if we started getting Founders (thinking of the Bell's SoCal launch).

Ive seen it making its way down south by way of sister stores up north. Finally scored breakfast stout and backwoods bastard legitimately in so cal, hah.

From what I heard from my local store beer guy, SoCal distro will depend on how well sales do in the North. If they do well, they'll expand to SoCal. If not, they will pull out of the state completely.

I'm kind of curious how sales are doing. I can't imagine stuff like Centennial sells very well out here.

Hard to tell just as a consumer. Most places just have around 4 brands and they do appear to be rotating pretty well in my anecdotal experience. I've bought some All Day, but never cared much for Centennial. Those and Harvest, which I love, have been the only hoppy options I've seen so far. I would imagine the hoppy labels start to collect dust after the novelty wears off.

[IMG] A few East Bay Bevmos got a couple cases of KBS yesterday, odd seeing it sitting on the shelf crammed between some Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada and Widmer.

For those lucky ones near San Leandro, it looks like they have KBS in stock there, per the Bevmo site. Says 6 available.

I attended a tasting at Whole Foods, in Las Vegas, earlier this evening. The guys pouring were from the brewery. They were very helpful. They suggested that we, in Southern California, would soon be seeing their beer "all over the place." I sampled their Dirty Bastard, Porter, and Breakfast Stout. All three were very tasty! I will definitely be drinking this stuff when it comes to town!

I know this may go unanswered and probably a bit farfetched. I am heading to Eureka, CA (Humboldt county) and was curious as to what liquor store would carry founders in the area?

Not at all, I visit a brother in law up that way frequently. North Coast Co-op in Eureka should have a pretty good beer selection, I know the one in Arcata does. Also, The Local in Eureka (Beer bar) gets some pretty nice taps and bottles.

Bevmo Eureka has their IPA, AllDay IPA, Pale Ale, Porter, Dirty Bastard and Breakfast Stout in stock right now. Coop Arcata does too but not sure about Eureka Coop, their beer selection isn't even half of what Arcata has.

Great to hear about the expansion into SoCal. I'm guessing that January is too late for Backwoods though...maybe next year.
