Founders All Day IPA bottled on date

I'm pretty sure they date on the neck. We JUST received it in Va. last week and it was all brewed in mid January. WTF! It's still pretty damn tasty and I've wanted to try it for about a year so hopefully we'll start getting fresher batches in a couple months in time for summer.

 

Yellow ink on the neck. It rubs off easily.

 

Yup you're right. I just checked the one I'm drinking now and no date to be found. I was able to see the case as I bought it and saw the same date on a lot of the other cases I saw around town.

 

If it's not on the neck of the bottle, you can find it printed on the outside of the cardboard case it came in pretty prominently.

No dates on any bottles in my six pk, but the case box I pulled it from was marked 1/29/13.

 

6pk I got today had dates on bottles in late Feb I believe. All bottles dated

 

i picked my case up on march 3 with bottle date of 2/18/13.

 

I picked up 2 single bottles today. On one the date was too smudged to read. The other, while also smudged, I believe was 2/25/13

 

Again I checked all the 6 that I bought and none had the date on them. No way it was rubbed off so maybe it was just a specific batch.

All of our 20 cases were dated january 28th. I don't know if the distributor held on to them until ABC was done inspecting them or what. A lot of the neck dates not there, or very smeared, A few are printed relatively clearly. All their cases are have package dates without fail, if your curious check the side of the cases they have in stock at your retailer.
