Does anyone get a lot of corn and rice from this beer? Don't get any hops at all.

Do you have an old beer? I get tons of hops and almost nothing else from this. Zero malt. It's not a "hop bomb", but it is very hop forward. I pick up lots of grapefruit.

Nope, it was a fresh 15 pack. Very underwhelming. I'm not a picnic/grilling guy, but if there was a beer that I'd drink without getting wasted that had tons of flavor, All Day would not be that beer. Many better inexpensive alternatives.

I mean it's definitely no hop monster, but I certainly do pick up the hops on the front. I like it and think it's a good bang for the buck for what it is, but hey, if you don't like it...find one you do. haha.

Definitely no corn or rice flavor. I am not trying to paint you into a corner here but that is the type of criticism I hear from people who I am not convinced actually taste those things but they know AALs are brewed with them and they want to make the comparison, this is always followed by a comment about how Founders has sold out.

This is not an overly hoppy beer, but in my mind it taste like a watered down APA at worst. Light malt, little grassiness and a pleasant citrus hop character. I agree there are better beers out there but the couple times I have seen the 15 pack on sale, I would argue that you would be hard pressed to find a better deal.

Tasted like a very light IPA to me. I'll grant you, I wasn't thrilled about it - but I found it to be the least disappointing of all the 'session IPAs' that I have had.

Better deal would be Ballentine XXX. Cheap, inexpensive, and much tastier. As a big fan of Centennial, Double Trouble, and their porter, the All Day was a big time disappointment from this brewery. Hell.... I even have their IRS as the best I've ever had. Bad deal. If I want a grilling and chilling beer, I'll look for something like Schlitz.

All day is a pretty darn good beer which I've indulged in quite a few times lol. I haven't picked up any rice or corn tastes any time that I've had it

It was exactly what I wanted when I took it on vacation at beach. A lighter version of an IPA that tasted way better than light beers and didn't get me wasted.
Still a hefty calorie count though. (140 IIRC) It's not a "light" beer in that regard.

No idea what was off with your pack. To me, it comes across as a hoppy version of seltzer water. Carbonated, hoppy, but not particularly strong, malty, or even smooth.

Yep, hoppy seltzer water. Pretty good, too!

I have not had it in cans, but I am not sure if it would make much difference. In bottles it is very hop forward in flavor with very little bitterness, and almost no malt. The hops seem to be kinda grassy with a good bit of grapefruit. Very refreshing beer to me, maybe give a bottle a shot.

Didn't enjoy this one. Maybe I'm not a fan of low ABV offerings? haven't tried any of the Gose beers. I think I'll stay with Founder's other beers. All Day was a big disappointment for the price.

    147 to be exact. http://foundersbrewing.com/faq/

To be fair, that is not what I would call hefty. You are only really talking about an extra 20-40 calories per beer when compared to a Light/Lite beer, no need to discuss these 55/64 calorie excuses for beer. If you are really concerned about calories you probably are not consuming large quantities of any beer, it would be very easy to adjust your caloric intake to accommodate the extra calories in All Day vs a Light beer.

Try Stone Go To, much more hop flavor, in fact it's like drinking hop juice......just don't expect much malt, still it's really good.

At the NHC Jeremy K said it is 50% base malt, then caramalts and adjuncts. Flaked barley is in the mix too. So did they sell out or just wanted to make an easy drinking beer with flavor?

I get lots of grapefruit and mild pine flavors, with almost no malt presence which is to be expected. Haven't picked up any corn/rice myself. I think Founders pretty much nailed it as far as session IPA go. The style can definitely have a weird watery, thin mouthfeel to it, that's the only thing that kinda bothers me.

Stone Go To , is probably as bad as their Pale Ale.

Good question, I suppose many peoples answers will correlate with their opinion regarding the brewery. Unless there was any of us who were privy to internal conversations, all we can do is speculate.

I have always been quietly concerned about Founders rapid expansion plans, I can see where cost savings measure would be realistic to consider. On the flipside, I do still believe that Founders is committed to a quality product, and delivering just that without sacrificing their integrity. I lean towards making an easy drinking beer with flavor but I do not discount other possibilities (if presented with limited bias).

I haven't had it this summer yet but last year it was very hop forward with aroma and taste
