First time i got this beer I didn't mind it. The second time it was so acidic. I still got some hops but it was nothing like the first batch I had.

I am not a session IPA fan but I do love All Day, personally. No qualifiers needed from me, I think it is a great beer. I guess I am the outlier here, but for the style, I have found it to have a more than acceptable malt presence. It certainly isn't malty, but I have found it to have some malt presence.

I thought it tasted like bottled water with a splash of lemon.

Just curious, how much did you pay?

All Day isn't my preference when sitting at a good beer bar or having dinner but it's what I grab when I'm in the mood to do some extended boozing. The thin, watery taste doesn't wear ya down and the beer finishes very dry so it doesn't linger.

I didn't get any corn, but I get a weird hop aftertaste in there, almost like grass. I didn't mind the beer, but that finish wore on me a little bit.

I second (or third or fourth) and recommendations for Stone Go-To or Firestone Easy Jack over the All Day, I just dont like All Day much at all, but apparently lots of people love it so to each their own.

Carton Boat Beer absolutely gets top ranking, but seems to be a reasl hassle to get.

Eh, don't knock yourself out unless its super fresh, which for me is a chore with hoppy FW stuff, but it's like most session ipa's its a one trick pony. I think Lawsons makes some of the finest IPA's in the world and their Session offering IMO was quite an undrinkable overly bitter mess.

I prefer a good low ABV pale ale over the session IPAs right now. The session IPAs are good for after you had a couple of real IPAs.

Founders does very little wrong in my book, and we love the taste and value that we get with ALL Day 15 packs. It's a great way to start in the early afternoon before we start on the big hitters, it fits well in the fridge, and we actually like it better than most Pale Ale's including the time tested favorite, SNPA (blasphemy and heresy, I know!).:grinning:

I agree with lots of others, it's very hoppy in my experience. It's my go to session IPA.

I do get hops and I don't detect any corn or rice flavor from All Day. IMO all the session IPAs don't have too much to them aside from hops and fade quickly. I'm curious as to how the English brewers manage to achieve significantly more complexity (talking cask real ale in England, not export bottles) in low ABV brews than the North Americans seem to be able to produce although freshness and cask would seem to be at least a partial answer.
Stone All Day has a bigger hop presence than All Day but is significantly more expensive here. Personally, I would not pay an up charge for a beer that has little else going on other than more hops.

What did you pay? I've seen All Day IPA high as crap some places. It's $5.50 at a couple places around town on tap. Do they know it's their session ale that's supposed to be cheaper? WTF.

Anyway, I paid $15.99 for a 15 pack on vacation in South Carolina and it was like a week old. I don't know how you get much more cheaper than that for craft beer. When we went back for business to South Carolina recently the same liquor store chain had it at their regular price of $16.99. So, I hope you didn't pay something crazy for it. I think it's a great bang for the buck at what I paid.

I definitely agree that Go To is better. But I live in Michigan where All Day has been as cheap as $13.99 a 15 pack at Meijer and Go To is 11.99/12.99 a sixer. So for the price, All Day is a no brainer for me. But I do agree with u on the hop flavor of Go To, awesome beer!

Maybe I had a bad 15 pack? Had my final can today and got a lot of adjunct. Starting on my 12 pack of Centennial now. Great IPA! Very citrusy! Trying Devil Dancer tomorrow for the first time. :grimacing:

Definitely no to the corn and rice. I think All Day is great for what it is and it holds its hop flavor for many months. When you have a six hour college football tailgate in front of you and it is 90 degrees outside, All Day is the perfect beer for the occasion.

I have no idea :stuck_out_tongue: Coming from someone who drinks a 100 IBU IIPA almost every day, All Day is so hoppy to me (relative to the malt base) that the piney after taste seems to stick around as much as Ruination or Palate Wrecker. It has a longer resiny aftertaste to me than any other session IPA I've had. Cheers!
