The Oat Ale was very good. Quinannon Falls is crisp and aromatic, a favorite of ours.

I did like the Quinannon Falls lager when I had it last month. Almost forgot that one. I haven't had the Oat Ale yet.

Love me some Founders, but they have definitely been surpassed by many other breweries at this point (in my opinion) as far as their beers go. If they upped their game with their backstage series beers that would boost them back into my high graces. Still a handful of favorites in their regular/seasonal limited line up though.

    Favorites: Backwoods Bastard, FBS, FIS
    Biggest disappointments: KBS, Recent Backstages
Indifferent: Their IPAs/Hops are all decent but there are better options out there at this point, at least to my liking...

I still have no idea why people fan-boy out over Founders. Over the past 3-4 months, a bunch of their stuff has come out here for various events, and really the only beers that impressed me were Backwoods Bastard and FIS.

Everything else ranged from good-ish, to really bad. Their IPAs are so average compared to what is out on the market, and FBS was such an ordinary stout that I have no idea why people sweat it so hard. Old Curmudgeon has some really off notes, and blushing monk is just artificial fruit garbage.

Founder's does not use artificial ingredients in Blushing Monk.

I meant Great Lakes forum. I was distracted by a friend from Minnesota, not Michigan.

I don't want a bomber of a barrel aged porter. Rather have it in a 4-Pack.

I think that is now going to be brewed at Upper Hand. That is a gain for the UP, a loss for those of us that liked it.

Make me an offer. Hell, I could use the money. It's almost Breakfast Stout season.
