Since the beginning of their backstage series, announcements and releases have come in two month intervals. Better Half came out Feb 10 I believe. That theoretically means an announcement is due any day now.

What do you think it'll be?

Each beer in the series had been previously brewed. In the past few months the only "specialty" brew they've had at the taproom which they've never bottled is the Sumatra Mt. Brown. I was told it was merely a yearlong project of theirs. I think however it was a "screening" of t so to say. It was on tap for only 2 weeks or so. My money is on the Sumatra. I'd be thrilled if true.

What say you? What kind of style would you like to see? What other beers of theirs from the past do u think they'd bottle for the backstage? Nemisis perhaps? ___ Del Noche? Do you want it to be a bourbon barrel brew?

How about a bourbon barrel aged dunkleweizen? Would that even fly? Has it been done before? I'd love to see some true Münchner und Bayerisch styles get the bourbon treatment.

I say just like last year (Blushing Monk) at 4th of July time it will be a Monday release and very easy to buy. I am just praying it is a form of Deca.

Sumantra Mountain Brown in a bottle? Don't tease me, that would be fantastic.

I predict they won't release one. Everyone just forgot about this.

The Sumatra was absolutely divine. I had it at the KBS release, and I couldn't decide if I liked this or the KBS more. If it turns out being this, I will be stoked.

I figured they were just doing Blushing Monk again.

    No more Blushing Monk?

This is absolutely true about not being barrel aged, therefore, I hate to bust the bubble, but it will not be Sumatra Mountain Brown. I'm sure it will be great though.

My money is on and will be laid down on Black Biscuit they have made the two beers needed to be made first to make this one, and it is one of the highest rated non bottled beer and it's not barrel aged. my 2 cents

My guess, if it's not barrel aged, is Frangelic Mountain Brown. Has been on tap a few times recently and it's a great beer.

I was told by a very good source that they wont make Blushing Monk again because it used a different yeast strain than the one that they use for all their other beers and therefore was a super big pain in the arse to clean it all out and get rid of it completely from the brewery...
