That's because everyone has a different pallet.

No some people have good pallets and others don't. I only trust a chosen few.

Different isn't always better, its just different.

09 Nemesis is a way different beer than the 2010 Nemesis. I personally thought the 2010 Nemesis was rubbish, and if you liked it, than I am not sure you'd enjoy the 2009. Totally different beer.

2010 Nemesis has really come into its own, it keeps evolving into a better beer once the hops fade.

Rubeaeus? Or however you spell it.

Non-BA. More seasonally appropriate for the estimated release.

I had a Rubæus a little over a week ago... it's holding up prety well.

I'd love to see a * Mountain Brown variant or a wheatwine.

Just got back from the tap room. Tried Blackwoods Blastard, Barrel Aged Berserker 37, Baby Nilla Porter, and Rye aged Rye Stout. Blackwoods took the cake. The rest sucked, IMO.

The Blackwoods Blastard was great, but for me the Rock You Like a Maple Cane was my personal favorite. Of course they all paled in comparison to CBS at the Black Party.

[edit] Sorry, forgot to put my prediction in: Gotta go with a barleywine. I would love to see a new version of Nemesis.

Do they not know people will shell out 50 bucks for a really good beer nowadays?

sappy slappy bastard! i love backwoods, would love to try it in maple bourbon barrels.

those mountain browns sound delicious tho.

my gut feeling is black biscuit. being on the outside of founders distro that one alon with cbs have been pretty famous.

btw since when has black biscuit been retired?

edit: btw i had nemesis 09 over the weekend, sad to say its tumbling down the hill bad. i loved it frsh and with a year in it.

While people will certainly shell out big bucks for beer, releasing a highly priced beer does still have a bit of a stigma attached. I am not sure that Founders wants to go there.
Gross? Don't like cashews? What's wrong with you? Cashew Mtn is full of maplely bourbony cashew deliciousness.
