Founders Backwoods Bastard Release?

Has anyone seen any in Northern MI yet?

 

Got a 4 pack yesterday, a shit ton on the shelf in South Lyon/Brighton.

 

Went to Founders and bought 5 cases saying it was packaged on 10/12/13. Noticed the bottle caps actually have the Founders logo on them. Is the black cap on some of the Backwoods this year because that Backwoods was bottled in early October?

 

This years breakfast stout is much more coffee. I still love it for what it is but I have to say I liked the more chocolate version last year. Does anyone else agree?

 

Man, people have a lot of odd theories this year about bottle caps.

Black bottle caps were simply used while they were waiting for their labeled bottle caps to come in.

 

i found some at the beverage company in TC this weekend.

 

Woodmans in Waukesha seems to have gotten theirs in, picked up a couple 4 packs 15 minutes ago.

 

I felt like it had a lot of burn on it. And threw one in my cellar. I mean it was incredible, but it was definitely boozy.

 

Zetouna up in Rochester, but the owner is maintaining a list to give to. Not really sure why, this isn't really a rare beer, but perhaps his alottment is small.

Guessing the usual suspects will have this in the very near future.

 

Well, called around to a few places today. Several of them said they received it yesterday and it was either gone the same day or reserved for people on a list.

 

Found some today.
This beer store got a few cases today and two people bought a 4 pack including myself.
I just picked it up 20 minutes ago.

Ahh, ya SE Mich is tough for limited releases. Everywhere either sells out in an hour during the middle of the work day or u have to be on lists for one bottle.

 

Saw some 2012 sitting on the shelf at my local today...

 

Stopped into Woodmans Waukesha tonight - not a bottle to be found. Oh well - there is always next year.

 

Woah this beer is mediocde at best...I have a 3 year vert and they all taste thin...not enough mouthfeel imho...I used to love her...but I had to kill her...
