Not sure where in MN you're at, but there's still plenty over here in La Crosse, WI. Festival had several cases come in this week.

The Wegmans in Collegeville had some but they're gone. Also Capone's in East Norriton had some. May still have some single bottles. It's crazy but they go fast. I bought one 4-pack...thought it over and the next day bought one more since I figured they'd be hard to find. I was right..glad I bought 'em and now I'm going to age them a while:wink:

I have found (3) 4 packs while going to a few places in Michigan. I also went to Founders a few weeks ago and they had a ton of it in the coolers.

Great beer. I never saw any in NW Ohio but I'm not usually on lists for things

Really jealous of how much of this seems to be floating around out there; was lucky to be able to grab a 4-pack this year thanks to a Milwaukee BAer (last year I only got 2 or 3 singles).

If anyone in Madison is still looking, Hyvee west has some on the shelf, and I saw 2 cases in the back cooler.

Try to find KBS on tap if you've never tried it that way. So much dark chocolate, black coffee, booze-soaked raisins, oak, and vanilla, with the perfect mouthfeel. I love Backwoods Bastard, but I haven't had anything that compares to KBS on tap.

How big was the pour? $3 on tap is a steal as long as it was bigger than a Dixie cup.

Anyone get this in NY? I saw it here the other day and it was $28 a 4pk, thought it was high. Store said they paid $120 for a case, seemed off.

Sounds like the stories I read about stores trying to sell regular Breakfast Stout at KBS prices. Let them age it for you and offer them $12/4pk in 9 months after it has collected dust.

i had KBS on tap and i'll agree it was excellent....same with doom. don't get me wrong i love founders and i really enjoyed pretty much everything i had from them (devil dancer is meh IMO) i just think backwoods set the bar this year in terms of seasonal releases, kbs is solid but i just prefer backwoods over it now

I gotta be honest I didn't think it was that great. I'd take pretty much any average or better barleywine over it. No offence to all those who love this brew, don't take it personally but IMO if it's priced above $10 I wouldn't buy it. And yet perhaps I just got a bad 4 pack... who knows...

    BWB isn't a barleywine.

Probably didn't like it because you thought it was a barleywine....

Had it on draft the other night... I wonder if it would be as delicious on nitro....

Well it took 3 pages for anyone to have anything remotely negatively to say about this beer. Pretty impressive.

I got my 4 pack, $15.00 in Connecticut. Honestly it was worth the price, and there aren't that many beers I would say that about. Hopefully I can find a little more.

When did I claim they were close to being the same beer, ones way overrated. Also I'm guessing many reviewers found Panther Cub, CBS, Devils Cut, Black Biscuit, and some others to be superior to KBS.
