    Hello BA'ers!

I noticed that the Founders availability calendar still shows two slots as TBA under their Barrel-Aged Series tab for October and December.
    https://foundersbrewing.com/beer/availability-calendar/

Has anyone heard what those beers might be?

It looks like French Toast Bastard is coming back. I had it last year, and it was a bit sweet for me, although it was still worth trying.

I suspect the October beer is already out, The Headless Gourdsman.

December is CBS or Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice. If the latter, then CBS will will be next in 2024.

After looking at the availability calendar and not seeing The Headless Gourdsman already listed, I agree that's probably "October's" release even though I bought it in August!

I'm a huge fan of Backwoods, but I didn't care for the French Toast version. The syrup tasted like the fake Log Cabin style rather than real maple syrup. Moreover, the cinnamon was waaaaay too out front.

A return of Better Half would be nice. CBS as well. I rated these 2 beers close to perfect scores beers so I don’t need the risk of variant attempts to satisfy my sweet tooth. Give me the original formula please.

Looks like Founders is going to be getting a lot of my money in the near future.

Damn, and I was trying to downsize my cellar. I'd have to buy at least a four of each of the above, and several each of Better Half and CBS. BA dark beers and NFL season almost make up for the cold and snow of winter.

Is is really already in NJ? Hasn't even fully touched down in their Michigan market yet.

Founders seems to be giving people people exactly what they want, but a lot of this stuff sounds disgusting to me.

Looking at reviewers, it's in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, and French Polynesia. Of course, there could be shipping or out-of-state beer-runs involved. Not widespread yet. It's not here in South Dakota last I saw. The Michigan reviews could be taproom, it's on-tap in Grand Rapids now.

I'm aware of that but I would have assumed they're distributors in Michigan would have gotten their cases before the rest of the distribution footprint. Obviously that can't be assumed.

I haven't seen any of this in TX. Didn't see Sweet Repute or KBS Blueberry, either. I typically see all of their releases **shrug**

My local shop recently got a couple cases of French Toast Bastard. They can keep it.

Founders appears to want to confuse everybody. Maybe a Lizard of Koz/CBS blend is on the horizon?

Central Market in SA still has KBS Blueberry on the cold beer shelf.

French Toast Bastard was WAY too sweet. I’m so glad I only got a single of that beer. Couldn’t even finish it.
And I typically love everything from Founders.
