had it on tap two weeks ago....interestingly, when I sipped it, I didn't enjoy that raspberry tang, but with bigger swigs, the chocolate and fruit blended much better. Anyway - as others have said, if you like the Rubaeus, you should seek this out - if you hate the Rubaues, don't expect much and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Picked up a bottle in VT over the weekend for 13.99...probable should have gotten 2.

I was surprised to see BL at my local neighborhood grocer for $11.99 for a 750ml bottle. I'm not a fruit beer guy, although I do enjoy Magic Hat #9 every once in a while. For those of you who've tried this beer, was the chocolate more prevalent than the raspberries? Seems like more of an "after dinner" sipper, rather than something you would drink over the course of a football game on TV.

Just had it this past weekend. It's definitely a dessert beer. The chocolate and raspberry flavors are both there. It's finishes rather sweet like a raspberry jam imo. I loved it.

I dont like raspberry but I loved this beer. Way overpriced but the chocolate and raspberry blend well together. Very sweet and not very tart

did anyone else get a weird fake smoke flavor off of this? I had it on tap last night and did not enjoy it one bit because of this

If it is as good as Lindley Park, I'll be pretty happy.

It's not...Lindley Park is several notches above this...and LP is barrel-aged. Big Lushious is nowhere near as complex as LP. And ironically they are the same price.

I was sort of thinking the same thing, because I love LP...but comparatively speaking, Big Lushious was a massive let down.

Finally turned up around here. I'm a huge Founders fan, but I found this a bit cloying. A bit less raspberry and a lot more stout would have worked better for me.

This is a wonderful beer to share with friends over a nice dessert. Wouldn't drink the whole 750 bottle myself, but then again anything bomber-sized or larger is meant to be shared in my book.

Big Luscious - the beer that hopefully will finally get me to stop buying beers like this in 2015.

Taste like a Russell Stover raspberry chocolate. Unfortunately, one I alway stick back

Definitely better than Dissenter. Enjoyed a 750ml by myself over a two hour period. Different flavor profiles as the beer warmed from initial 55 degree. Dissenter was a big drop from Double Trouble. Afterwards, I had a glass of water and went to bed.
