    Founders Brewing Company invites you to our


    13th Annual Black Party: A Celebration of Black Beers

    featuring performances by

    Nathaniel Rateliff(Indie Folk Rock from Denver, CO)

    Caroline Rose (Alt-Country from Vermont)

    and

    Oracle (Starring our very own Head Brewer Jeremy Kosmicki and Brewer Diamond Deschaine)

    Our 13th Annual Black Party is a celebration of our darkest, most mysterious beers!

    Your paid entry nets you admission to the event, awesome live evening entertainment, a commemorative Black Party pint glass (while supplies last), and a complimentary pour of any Class 1 beer. Admission is $10 for the General Public and $8 for 2014 Mug Club Members.

    All of our standard black beers will be on tap, as well as some old favorites, firkins & barrel-aged beers, some special surprises, and some brewed just for the event!

    Our deli will be serving up a bunch of special fare, and evening entertainment will include performances from Nathaniel Rateliff, Caroline Rose, and of course, Oracle’s annual ‘Black Set’!

    Party starts at 11am and lasts until 2am. *This is an ages 21+ event.

    Same deal for my group as yesterday, we'll be in line at 7 am, looking to snag front-and-center barstools for first crack at things like Devil's Cut.

    I'll be in line about 9:00 a.m., so I will see you there. This has become my favorite brewery event of the year.

    Easily the best thing Founders does every year if you're a fan of black beers. Tap list is easily 50%+ things you won't find any other point.

    Blows harvest party out of the water.

    Someone should tell Caroline Rose that if she's coming from VT to bring a haul of some of those tasty beers they brew up there.

    Sounds great! My favorite brewery. Wish I could go to this. Had the chance to try Panther Cub at the KBS release week event and it was very nice...

    Hi all,.. in Michigan for work from CA and was planning to hit up Founders this Saturday. Found out it happens to be an event day. Any tips for a first timer? How are the lines? Better off coming earlier in the day/morning rather than later? I'll be driving up from Detroit. Thanks in advance!

    Shaunveer, doors open at 11. My group is obsessed with claiming the center stools at the front bar, so we plan on being in line at 7, with thirst quenchers in tow. If you're not there before 11, there will probably be a bit of a wait to get in, although with the new expansion, it might not be as much of an issue this year. The KBS Devil's Cut got hauled out around 12:30 if I recall correctly.

    Also, be prepared to be floored by the utter awesomeness of the selections. I've yet to be disappointed at this event.

    Also note that its a $10 cover charge for non-mug club members. You get a commemorative pint glass with a free pour of a Class I beer. Weather forecast is cloudy and 52° for Saturday, so there will be people outside, that'll help keep the taproom crowd manageable.

    I also think with the expansion that it shouldn't be that bad of a wait no matter what time you get there. And yah the taplist is always great at black party, probably the best event founders puts on all year!
