Sooo anything new besides the initial list? Also, how's the line?

 

No line, no wait to get in. Beer line at the main bar is less than 5. Fewer people than Firkin or KBS.

Also, Cran Cub is delicious. Syrup black was quite smooth

 

Almost 2 pm and no sign of the Devil's Cut. Might have to settle for regular KBS.

 

No line currently and only thing that was tapped was their firkin. Dirty bastard with vanillia, coffee and chocolate extract. Damn tasty.

Quite serious. Tapped in 20 mins. 2nd best beer I've ever had (2011 BA Sumatra).

 

Left at 3:15 and the list hadn't changed from the time we walked in at 11:20. Kept asking about Devil's Cut, was told it was coming, but no ETA. We really enjoyed the added space, we had open seats at our table on the patio until probably 2pm.

Someone's bullshittin...

 

Hi just joined the site today (although I've been following for quite a few years). Regardless, my Wife and I just left Founders, and there was no aged KBS that I saw on tap (between 1pm and 3:45pm)... If it was on tap, I guess I missed it, but I did get to enjoy (in order):

Panther Cub
Cran Cub
Maple Barrel-Aged Black IPA 2013
KBS

I thought the KBS this year was more toned down as far as the bourbon notes. Having never had any of the others, I was quite impressed. The Panther Cub may be a little too sweet, but still very tasty indeed.

We'll be back down later tonight I think; I'm hoping they've got a few different varieties to try.

On a side note, this is our first trip to Founders since the renovations were completed. We were both surprised and in awe at how much things have changed. I liked the fact that they now have 3 separate bars (each of which today had different offerings).

For those still planning on attending, pay attention to my last statement, as you may find something more appealing at a different bar (2 inside; 1 outside).

Kinda weird they haven't done any time releases like the previous years. But the tap list is still ok

 

Panther Cub won our table. I think we tried every tier 3, as well as half the tier 1's and the 2013/2014 imperial stouts from tier 2(2014 won resoundedly, very smooth!). Table was a random mish-mash that met in line and continued the conversation throughout the day.

 

BA Party stout is probably on one the days best....wait sex panther with cranberries...wait....they are all tasty. Cheers boys & girls!
