How prominent is the Belgian yeast? Normally for me, that's an off-putting taste for "American" Belgian style beers and if it's too forward I'll pass on this guy.

Have to disagree. Rubaeus is weak, with no to barely any raspberries present. Labels play tricks on people.

Rubaeus is middle of the road. Too sweet for me to drink alone, so I found myself blending it with a Bruery Hottenroth, 50/50 during last summer. That was a tasty beer.

I LOVE Rubaeus so I wanted to try one finally but I HATE Belgium yeast...I about passed on this one. After reading a few reviews I read the Belgium yeast was not noticeable...after trying this tonight I agree, I cannot taste the Belgium yeast...Yea! This beer is awesome, as some have described it Rubaeus ""AMPED"" its a sweet raspberry beer. I LOVE raspberries so I very happy. Got it in Matthews NC at Carolina Beer Temple for around $15 a bottle.

I blended a few with my last bottles of Cerise, pretty tasty. Then I discovered pouring it over raspberry sorbet. Score.

Has no one mentioned how awesome this beer is with about 2 years age on it? Gets a little tart, jammy, and just great IMO and I can't wait. About 4 years, its still good but becoming more like cough medicine. 2007 batch tasted last year was Robitussin level. Definitely stocked up on this one, reminding me a lot of the 2011 fresh at least from the tap pours I've had.

These are on shelves everywhere here now. I had it on draft the other night...too sweet for me. Gonna try to trade my two bottles for whatever I can get for them.

It is now, Norm's, Whole Foods, and probably all the other usual spots. $18-19, I'll pass at that price.

Thanks. Found it at Total Wine McLean yesterday. $15.99, not too bad.

Yeah it's one of the best shops in Orlando. If you have time you should check out Knightly Spirits on Orange Blossom Trail as well. It's amazing.
