Raymo's in Michigan. We never get Founders early. We barely get it at all:slight_smile:

Sorry folks... I didn't realize I got it before everyone else... I only grabbed one @$20. I didn't realize what I'd stumbled upon... hell, one shop I go to still has a ton of Frangelic Brown left over!

What Steimie said. Less allocation in your state = more allocation in mine!

You got it for $20. They're selling it for $23 at the release. That's crazy.

Gotta call BS without a pic to prove it. "Didn't realize what I'd stumbled upon" from a two year member and hundreds of reviews...

It's my understanding, from a thread I read on BA recently, that brewers often sell bottles for more than what you find it in bottle shops so that they don't undercut their retailers.

I don't really mind the $5 since they are donating that money. I just don't understand why a liquor store is able to sell it for less then the brewery.

But Founders has never done that. The KBS release was way less then what they where going for at the bottle shops.

Because maybe the brewery is selling at a mark-up?

My question is: does anyone know if this is going to be distributed to Wisconsin?

The real shock here is that Founders still bothers with release dates anymore. What's the point? They are essentially meaningless. It's not like the beer is ever really available to everyone at the same time. Someone will always sell it early and most of us won't get it until days/weeks after the so-called "release date."

As Raymo knows, I have had this already. It was over a month ago and it was sort of hot then but very good. I like starting the hype train.

Boo, not fair. I live 5 minutes away from Founders and I won't be getting my bottles until the 14th.
