Founders Breakfast Stout in NYC

    Anybody know of a place in NYC/BK that still has this sitting on the shelves? I went to a big beer distro place by me (Brooklyn Beer & Soda in BK) and was happy when I found a couple four packs still sitting on the shelves. Grabbed two, went to pay and they wanted $24/4pk! Meanwhile, I've bought some there a few months ago at $14.99/4pk (which is still absolutely ridiculous) and they continued to argue with me that it's not supposed to be that price. Never going back there again. If anyone knows of a place that they've seen it at recently I'd appreciate the info!

    Continue to argue that its not supposed to be what price? $24.99 is the price its NOT supposed to be. New Yorkers get a uncharge but $10+ is a tad high. And that is the reason he still has it around.

    I dont know of any on the island that have stock but I believe it was $12-$14 a 4pack.

    Dont know of any stores in NYC but plenty in North Jersey.

    They argued with me that it wasn't supposed to be $14.99, which is what I paid for it at the exact same store a couple months ago. And yes, I understand NYC beer is typically a few dollars more depending on the beer and certain special releases can be even more, but I've seen it in multiple places in and around NYC for $12-$14 back when it was still in season.

    Can you please tell me where? I will be in Northern NJ (Paramus area) in two weeks and would love to grab a few before heading back into the city.

    For Paramus I would call total wine in River Edge or Whole foods in paramus. I'm pretty sure they still had some last time I was there.

    I think the Met Foods on Vanderbilt Ave. in Prospect Heights had some as of a week ago for $13/4pack. No guarantee it's still there.
