Founders Breakfast Stout- Latest batch... Thin and artificial tasting?

    There is "no" noticeable diffrence between the release dates this year. but comparing back over the diffrent years.
    This stout does mature verry well and does get better with the years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Cellar some now and you will be in lust in a few years!!!!!!!!
    And I think your pallett will mature over the years as well and you will take the time to Stop and Taste the STOUT
    and smell it as well. (smells good) an aquired smell.

    I think you smoke cigarettes and your palate is dulled. Glad you nibbed this one in the bud though!

    I just compared a bottle from last year that I had in the cellar and this year. I have to agree that what I tasted from this year's version definitely is thinner and the taste is different...like they went with a different coffee that has a more earthy flavor.

    Sorry, had to resurrect this thread after remembering it existed.

    I remember thinking the August bottling this year was subpar; but I just cracked into a new 4 pack bottled on 10/26 and it is the absolute liquid euphoria I remember from last year. Carry on.
