Very true, had the opportunity to try this and it was awesome. Should do a good job of holding you over for a few months.

 

Add some cold brew coffee and melted bittersweet chocolate to a bottle of Founders Porter? Gonna have to try this now that I just thought of it.

Doesn't distro to MI, but easily acquired just south of the border.

 

New Holland's The Poet is pretty good, in my book (not as good as FBS of course) and is available all year.

Sadly that's probably you're best option short of trading for more FBS.

 

Have you considered blending beers? Odd Side's Bean Flicker blended with a chocolate stout might work. Arcadia's Coco Loco comes to mind, but Odd Side also has some sort of chocolate beer that I have not tried, so I don't know whether to recommend it or not. Blending also allows you to drink two beers in one sitting.
