Drink it as fresh as you can. Goes great with cereal in the morning!

I felt like a crazy person while drinking FBS for thinking this because of the hype... but I think I like Great Divide's Espresso Oak Aged Yeti better. Am I the only one? Didn't think FBS was bad by any means -- I certainly enjoyed it, but it tasted harsher than the Yeti despite the alcohol difference. Also thought FBS was a bit thin on the mouthfeel compared to Yeti.

Just curious to hear what other people think of the two compared to each other.

I had a 2012 bottle the other day and a 2011 bottle about a month ago. As much as I love the in your face coffee taste and aroma the 2011 bottle was still good. The coffee seemed to mellow out and was replaced by subtle chocolate taste IMO.

The other night I was drinking a Yeti, just the regular version, not one of the oak aged variants. My girlfriend opened up an FBS and I had a couple sips of it and I was astonished to find out that I would much rather drink Yeti any day of the week. Yeti definitely has the fuller mouthfeel I look for in my stouts. I'm not saying that FBS is a bad beer by any means, but it's definitely a little bit on the thin side. It's just interesting how some limited release beers get so hyped up while some awesome year round 4 packs just get overlooked.
