Brought some home from my recent road trip to MN. Saw it on the shelf @ Four Firkins & just grabbed it. Have no idea what I paid for it.
You'll hate yourself later if you don't at least try this beer.

yeah, spread out over 6 hours like that no problem .. you could even drink a Coors Light or 2 between each Breakfast Stout for hydration purposes

I must edit this post. It's 11.99 at most places in Illinois but I just left a place in Wisconsin and got one for $9.69.

In the SE Mich area, it's usually 10$, but I would certainly pay 12$ for it. One of my favorite beers, hands down.

Just noticed this post from a quote... Even though it says what temperature on the label to drink this beer, it is the ONLY beer I've purposely drank at room temperature and LOVED!

Trust me... cold, cool, or warm, this beer is perfect for any of those temperatures! I will say however, that if this beer was opened straight out of the refrigerator, the aromas really come out more as it warms up... Please, I beg of you, post your reply at 4:01pm and let all of BA know how amazing this beer holds up as it evolves over the duration of the football game! You will be amazed by how this beer transforms into something absolutely phenomenal! :grinning:

The Founders Breakfast Stout is pretty bad this year(FBS standards). If i were you i would get their Porter.

FBS & KBS are outstanding brews. Love to find 4-packs here. In PA, it's mostly by the case when you can find it, or by the bottle at bars and that gets far more expensive. Yes, BUY. BUY, BUY at $12! And cellar some too. Cool and dark. It does age well.

This is my first time with KBS and it definitely will be a keeper! Very tasty indeed! I also picked up the porter and it's quite possibly the best porter I've tasted! These are two great beers that will become staples in my fridge.

I am drinking my sixth one and have been loving this beer. I like to sip bourbon alternately with certain beers. I find it brings out more malt and flavor in the beer. But, as I tried this with the FBS, I found this beer enhanced the bourbon not the other way around.

I'm drinking a FBS now and I'm about to pour a dram of Woodford Reserve to see if what you say is true.

I will report back or edit this post.

Honestly just walked in the house from a late Birthday dinner at Founders as my Birthday was the end of September. Had a FBS on tap and it was SPLENDID! Took some pics that should end up in LNBA... The "Furniture City Stock Ale" was just alright. I had it on tap as well, and got a bottle of it today from a local shop. It was good, but glad I didn't splurge for too many bottles...

I think this is why KBS is so magically delicious! Alas, no FBS left in this household....but I am having a stiff Knob on the rocks as I type
