It didn't get crowded until around 12:30-1. Plus, I was surprised at the number of people NOT drinking CBS or any of the other 8 oz. pours.

I lucked out when our local bar had a Founder's night. 2014 KBS, CBS, Harvest, Backwoods Bastard and Redankulous.

That's one hell of a beer to drink at lunch time! Of course, I'm a bartender and I work nights, so most times I've had it were during lunch. I usually have 2 pours and a French bread pizza, then I go home and take a nap. Kbs is on right now at the taproom FYI

I use "beautiful" quite frequently when I have something that really impresses me. I think it's a very appropriate description.

I was lucky enough to have CBS twice last year (first time Slows BBQ in January 2015) and again during 2015 KBS week when I picked up my 12 bottles of KBS I think on a Thursday... it was amazing and one of my overall favorites. Glad got to try it and not hunt that whalz in bottle form from 2011.

I got to try it here in Oklahoma a couple times, surprisingly, and I thought it was delicious! I liked it better than this years KBS

Because then he can't do "I just stumbled upon CBS and it is great!" brag

They brought a cask of CBS to the Decatur Beer Festival in Georgia about six years ago. My girlfriend, not a beer fan, insisted we wait in line again and again until they ran out. One of the best I've ever had.

While we are all discussing this...here is a question for ya'll....

Do you think Founder's is still barrel-aging and brewing CBS to be sold exclusively in kegs to "better" craft-beer bars?

I ask because CBS was bottled and sold in 2011. Thats a whopping 4 years ago. And yet, even here in TX it'll pop up once in a VERY BLUE moon at some of our better local establishments. But the fact that it still is popping up, makes me wonder. 2011 seems like a damn long time ago in proportion to how often I feel it still shows up at a bar.

EX: Nobi in Friendswood, TX tapped a keg of it within the last 12-months for their anniversary.

Instead of just reading a review, I think he's looking for more of a back-and-forth dialogue with fellow BAs. Play nice, gentlemen .

I've never met you, but your in-put on most threads is damn near always well received on my end.

Thanks for always being the voice of reason!

That's undeserved praise, sir. Check out @JackHorzempa, @jesskidden, or @TongoRad (to name a few) if you want to see reason. I don't take myself seriously; most of my posts are tongue in cheek, which I believe, some have figured out.

    Thank you, though. That's larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge!

Had CBS on tap at 2015 Hunaphu Day, it was on when the event started and I could not believe their was literally no line for it when I walked up. Sat and chatted with the Founders staff and had my fill , and I must admit it is one of the best beers I have had to date. Absolutely stellar stuff!
