I think the joke will be on him eventually. There’s a shit ton of this, even if it’s selling out quickly in Chicago and tough to find in some parts. I wouldn’t trade for this above $4$ pretty much.

 

Any update on supply left at Rishi's?

 

Stopped in Whole Foods at 1n Halstead around 10 and they were already out. Same with bcbs variants, but they did have around 10 cases of regular for those looking.

 

So who all has tried it this batch? Thoughts? Been seeing some high praise and some less so....

 

Just wanted to say:

1) Wilmette Jewel sounds about the same as many others - basically, forget what the website says, their distributor doesn't deliver to them on Th, so no, they didn't have it at open today; they put my name on a list (I was the first person below a hand-written line titled "maybe") on the second page of their notebook - but they already called by 10am to tell me they had bottles for me

Ratings will vary widely based on the following two factors (1) number of times they have had CBS in the past and (2) Difficulty in which one went through in obtaining the bottle.

Reviews and ratings will become less favorable when it is discovered how much of this Founders actually produced which will coincide with CBS officially losing its "white whale" status.

Indeed I can’t wait for how much badmouthing this beer will get once people realize it’s going to be easy to find for awhile...

But how bout that one-time taproom draft only release only a select few got to try ... best beer ever!!!

 

If I was meeting someone on a date, and I told them to meet me on the corners and she showed up in portage park, that would tell me all i needed to know about her and just not bother contacting her again

 

I had it on tap last night. It was a good to better version of KBS. I’ve had CBS twice previously and was never that impressed, though. I’ve also become less enamored with KBS lately, and felt this was like a “good” version of it with some maple. I did find it somewhat thin. It’s a good beer, but I decided not to hunt for it, especially since I’ve already got two bottles waiting for me next weekend at Founder’s.

 

So what are the chances of it being around till this afternoon? Debating if I should try.

 

If you say six corners it means Portage Park, if you say the corners then I totally understand Wicker Park.

 

She must not know her geography well enough then. Portage Park is the real six corners or "corners" as you put it.

 

Portage Park is the OG six corners. Considering Portage Park 6 corners has been dead for decades, Wicker Park has adopted the name to the point of most young kids not even knowing about the Portage Park location or name. Hopefully with Fischmans and some other cool spots opening up in Portage it sees some revitalization. It's distance from the blue line really hurts it.
