Feel free to discuss and share info on bottle releases, tappings, etc. of CBS 2017 in Western Mass. Super Phipps in Westfield has indicated a December release but that's all the info they had at this point. Have not had the chance to ask anywhere else yet.
I spoke with people at table and vine, holyoke liquors 44 and Yankee spirits and they all said they hadn’t received CBS yet and weren’t sure when it was coming in. Yankee and T&V said to check back tomorrow but also said it could be next week as well, and 44 said they weren’t sure when it would come in.
Yankee spirits told me the same but they said they weren’t sure if they would put it out Thursday when it comes in or wait until Friday. Hopefully pricing and availability is good in the area.
Looks like a bunch of places in Western MA got cbs in today. And Table and Vine and Super Phipps getting theirs tomorrow.
Granby liquors, coopers, Spirit Haus, and liquors 44 all have it as well. Can post a complete price guide and bottle limit if anyone wants as well.
Still a ton of these at Liquors 44 Northampton. Would love to try a bottle, but at 30 bucks a pop, can't do it.
ymmv, but I did not care for it this year. First time having a bottle of it, I've only ever had it on tap. Found it quite thin, very little maple, and the chocolate overwhelming. Wasn't my jam.
Personally I enjoyed it although I do agree I didn't get a ton of maple flavor - moreso the sweetness of maple. It basically tasted like a sweeter version of KBS. Worth $30 a bottle? Not so sure about that.
