so next Tuesday the Shepherd and the Knucklehead pub in Haledon is having a Founders event. KBS will be tapped at 4 with a super special rare keg being tapped at 10 PM. This has to be CBS correct?

Yep. Jersey City Barcade announced they're tapping CBS on NYE as well.

You can kinda guess the main accounts that received these kegs. Cloverleaf, Coppermine, Barcade, Shep, and maybe a handful of others will.

They're fairly high on Hunterdon's list I would think? Maybe I'm off base but I always hear of them getting real nice kegs.

I'll ask Vito since I'll see him tomorrow or Sunday, but I'd be surprised. I think your other guesses are spot-on though

Everything is brewery specific now. Vito doesn't keep steady lines so he's rarely high on any allocation list. Didn't even get KBS last year. That being said it allows him to always tap fresh beer and never have to sit on any kegs. Looking at the Shep's taplist today, they've already tapped everything except for KBS and the mystery keg. Including Harvest which is almost 3 months old, rubaeus which is 7 months old? Double trouble which is 5 months old, devil dancer 6 months old. When you have 90 taps its hard to kick anything that isn't hyped up but if you know how allocation operates you can just keep 3 steady taps of a brewery's beers and get high up on that list. If I ever open a bar I'll just keep All Day on tap at $4 and be the #1 founders account in the state.

The Shep is the fucking worst. Don't get what people like about the place.

Prepare to be underwhelmed. By the shep not by the beer.

That would be terrible. At least the KBS is a definite.

Big Lushious is already included in the main list.

Has anyone confirmed that this is definitely going to be CBS tonight at the Shepherd? If so is it an old keg or is it the new 2014 batch?

These are new kegs and all have been delivered to the Hunterdon accounts for nj from what I heard. Wish the Shep wasn't such a pain in the ass for me to get to. Have to catch it at the Cloverleaf.

I agree. They handled it very well. Of course there were the normal d bags but seemed like everyone got a taste. Was definitely worth it. Lived up to the hype. And glad I skipped on beer authority and drank it here. Owner is awesome.
